About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am looking to host surfers from all over and, of course, locally.

ABOUT ME

IMPORTANT!
I will ONLY host couch surfers who HAVE HOSTED other couch surfers in the past. I think this is the only way to make the project sustainable.

First off, I'm wicked shy.

Second, this couch is in New Braunfels, Texas.

Third, I hate moochers.
This couch only takes phone requests from now onto 512 212 0508, *in addition* to a formal request here. Yes, this means you need a phone. Sorry in advance!

Call or text me. Also, email me and message me arrival times. You must have a confirmed ticket back, since I am getting way too many requests. (Computer access is key, but I can work with you here if need be.) Open to hosting most anyone.I can now host on Friday and Saturday nights.Be serious. I seem mean, but I'm really not.

PHILOSOPHY

The novelist and essayist Anatole France once said, "The finest words in the world are only vain sounds if one cannot understand them."

On the flip side, the finest ideas in the world are only idle thoughts if one cannot convey them to others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to host people one weekend per month, 52 weeks a year. This is a serious commitment and I spend money on hosting and being awesome.

My new thing has been meeting people on the last Friday (Night Ride) of the month and then hosting that weekend. Sometimes, it turns out being First Friday as well. This means you get two weekends outta my cheap ass.

I don't like all of this "someday I might travel" bullshit. Either you are in or you are out.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I come off as a big asshole, and I am, but CS is more then just finding a place to crash. Its about meeting new people from different walks of life and learning about their mind, their country and their heart.

Interests

Pharmacy, law, and civil litigation. If you are serious about surfing my place, email me at nicoleberger@live.com first. This is a test. Think you can pass it?

Do this after a regular CS request.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read for fun and I have visited most all of the San Antonio libraries here in town. (22 and counting, baby!)

They are quite nice. My favorites are a secret. Shhhh......

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Meeting someone from the Forbidden Island of HI.
We had an AMAZING time in Hawai'i. Lots of Aloha.

I have been in many car accidents and I am still fairly healthy. I do have a broken something every month. I'm a square!

Honolulu was amazing. I love it. Tense!

This month (May 2013) it is still a broken coccyx. Like in Napoleon Dynamite's grandmother. Awesome. But it hurts like a mother. I will say that. When you have a broken tailbone, everything seated hurts. Ouch. I still blast around on my bike though, I just suck.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'll teach people about Texas or Massachusetts. I have real jobs, so I can teach you about boring things, too, if need be. I can only play one musical instrument: the flute. The one thing I don't do is cook. But you can!I'm sort of from Cape Cod, in middle and secondary school (12-24) and originally metro Boston area (0-12).Born in Dorchester, Boston, Massachusetts, USA.I am an Irish asshole, let's be honest. I am also very Catholic, so I fit all these cool stereotypes. :)
