关于我

CURRENT MISSION.
Studying in Scotland, working in Switzerland during summer school break.

ABOUT ME

I travel like Bear Grylls !
You are a hardcore traveler with a stomach of steel, and you'll eat a grub out of a tree long before you are even hungry. You can't remember the last time you showered, but you still look good.
What type of traveler are you?
Take BootsnAll's Travel Quiz to find out.

I am a 33 years (but many people think I am just a 20yrs old brat) old girl, free minded, I like beer, like travelling and I spend more time abroad than at home (my father laughs about me that I come back home just to change my winter clothes for the summer ones in my suitcase).
Currently I am in Scotland doing my second degree to prolong my youth and not to take life so seriously so if everything goes well, still at the uni till 2017. Trying to travel whenever it is possible just during the summer or winter school break.
Lately I spent more than 2 years in both Switzerland and Norway, that made me quite addicted to their wild nature. Before I was working in Italy, Austria, Cyprus, Germany, New Zealand, the USA and volunteering in Costa Rica, Spain and Tenerife but after living in over 10 countries I already stopped counting them. My home changes and is always the place where I unpack my luggage. I think that the ideal house for me would be a camper van or a hausboot :-)
I like a change so for me it is unimaginable to stay in one place.
I like the feeling when I do not know what comes tomorrow and every day is a surprise. Usually I spend most of my money I have on travelling and then start from scratch again. I am up for any adventure, maybe to travel with minimum money, to do any kind of volunteering job in return for food and shelter.
My dream is to try to stay in a monastery in Nepal or Tibet with budhist monks for some time, hiking in the Himalayas and work as a voluntary teacher or for Greenpeace there.
Planned to study accounting and finance in Sydney but it was time-wasting experience, the crossover between work and study was not as much fun as I expected it to be. As I did not like the city life there at all I decided to continue my studies in Scotland. Although I do study and work here but it is much more laid-back. I found out that big cities are not that appealing for me and suck my energy. On the other hand I prefer places very close to the nature so that I can recharge my batteries.

I try to avoid eating beef and pork meat for over 7 years (a kind of Dr Adamo's blood group diet, choosing just the groceries profitable for my health).

PHILOSOPHY

I like the ideas of buddhism as for its way to achieve personal happiness.
I am on search of an ideal country to live in. From those, I have been to, the closest to my ideal are Switzerland, Costa Rica and NZ. That's the main reason I decided to study again, to find a way to live a 'normal' life in one of those countries. A tough journey but I hope it will pay off one day..

While constantly on the road, I have to pack all my stuff just in one or two bags for quite a long time which makes me think what is really important in life. As it is said "our necessities are few but our wants are endless," I see traveling as a re-evaluating of what these necessities are. Really, the most important things are those ones which I need but cannot pack anyhow, like my freedom, health, a bit of luck, the internal drive for something, nice people around and reliable friends of course.

I am in the stage of life that I have chosen to live like this:
http://www.nomadicmatt.com/travel-blogs/why-ill-never-stop/

"Sorrows sometimes teach a lesson well and I know that good can come from bad so look into the morning star ´cause we know just who we are..."

Ziggy Marley

"Do not pray for an easy life, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one."

Bruce Lee

"The darkest hour of the night comes just before the dawn."

Paulo Coelho

"I haven't been everywhere but it's on my list."

"Better to try and fail than to fail to try."

If plan A didn't work the alphabet has 25 more letters.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

From Bergen I have some experiences with CouchSurfing, but also before many people abroad helped me and I tried to do the same also without CS. Did a lot of volunteering for the hosts being also members of CS (Costa Rica, Spain, Australia).

音乐、电影和书籍

everything good which makes me think about even later. from the English and German compulsory literature I had to read for my university studies I liked the American authors (e.g. Salinger - Catcher in the Rye)the most, I also like the novels written by Mario Puzo. I like travel books. I recommend the funny book "Brown Cheese, please" from an Australian point of view about "Norge, nordsmen and all things norsk".

From movies I ve seen lately e.g. Into the Wild, Home, Transsiberian, Shaolin Temple, Fireproof, 127 hours, Touching the Void.
Music: Falco, Xavier Naidoo, Rammstein, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Depeche Mode, Blur, ACDC, reggae,..

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have been travelling with friends in New Zealand sleeping just in a car, 3 of us in a sport type Honda :-) I had to live there with a little amount of money my friends lent me or I made in vineyards, because in the beginning I was robbed (my credit card was stolen by some dirty bastards in ACBbackpackers in ACKL),so be careful everybody while travelling
I hope the best things are just to come, I have just started to travel and probably forever, I never want to settle down anywhere, but I would need 3 lives to do what I intend to manage..
