About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Being able to touch my elbow with my tongue. Impossible is nothing, people!

Or alternatively: Making people fall in love with Mexico.

ABOUT ME

I'm scared of cows. Really. They're so big. The hollstein ones are the worse. I also love traveling around. I also suck at describing myself.

PHILOSOPHY

3) Wittgenstein. Popper. Habermas. Juan Gabriel.
2) Outrage is but a caricature for moral character
1) There are good people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Show people the many crazy/lovely/kitschy spots I love in Mexico city, hosting people and showing Mexico City around, so don't be shy about asking for info!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mostly hosted people, surfed a little, and once upon a lifetime went to some of the parties/meetings. As for myself? I´m your typical clumsy guide who points at all the ugly mannequins, the origins of the Faux Cibeles fountain, tells you to never pay more than 5 pesos per taco, and shows you all around her favorite haunts.

Interests

Books, learning about different cultures, theology, memes, discussing Son Goku´s noble sacrifice, movies, making friends, fikka, tea.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Savage Detectives, Rayuela, Everything by Borges, Eco's essays, a lot of "The Canon". In english: Cristopher Moore, Vonnegut, Gaiman when I feel emo, anything remotely sci-fi/Fantasy like... and of course, Potter. Currently into Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

I find House of Cards Boring. More into OTNB, Kimmy (PINOT NOIR!). I think i might have a binging problem (but never when I host). And of course: GoT.

Films: Everything we need to know about each other is how you feel about "The Great Beauty" of Paolo Sorrentino.

Music just happens to me. Sometimes is Kanye, sometimes is EDM. Sometimes is some viral tacky youtube sensation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Danced at the top of Mexico's city Cathedral. Badly. Got lost in the rice fields of a small village in Japan. Got to realize that there are more good people in the world than bad.

I also helped integrate gender into the communications guidelines of the Defense Ministry and wrote a diagnosis that ended being cited as a good practice in U.N. Shadow reports.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to do piñatas from scratch. And for everything else: there are youtube tutorials and will.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories. Intense conversations. A variety of nitbits learned from all around the world. A glass of mezcal (way better than tequila, dears). Bad, awful, craptastic dancing. Food that has good intentions. The in's and out of how to make a piñata.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, Chile, China, Cuba, Japan, Norway, Peru, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, Mexico, Pakistan, Sweden
