ABOUT ME

I have been living in the United States for the past 7 years where I built great friendships, met amazingly diverse and smart individuals, had terrific experiences, and got the opportunity to travel the world! I have recently returned to India as a Clinton fellow with the America India Foundation to work with a social enterprise based in Delhi. I hope to continue building great friendships, meaningful relationships, and learn from people and cultures I come across in my travels!

Small and simple things make me happy. I have discovered the joy of travel and I hope to pursue more of it. I am good at cooking Indian curries, telling interesting stories, discussing love, life, politics and everything in between!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can host,take my guest around to lesser know/ non-touristy places when I am free,make great Indian food for my hosts,share my experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in an off the grid cabin with no electricity or running water, slightly outside Fairbanks, Alaska, when I went there to experience Aurora Borealis! I couchsurfeed on a sailboat in Portalns, Maine! My first couchsurfing experience in Puerto Rico, cemented my belief in the general goodness of strangers in this world!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am an absolute movie buff!! I have a personal collection of more than 300 movies from my undergraduate days :) Schindler's List, Shawshank Redemption, Forest Gump, American History X, KillBill, Pulp Fiction and Reservior Dogs are a few to name to show the both extremes of my tastes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Walking alone late at night on the streets of Palestine and talking with the local youth.
- Northern lights in Fairbanks, Alaska
- Cohiba's in Havana
- Camping in Culebra
- Backpacking across Morocco
-Roadtrip along the Dalmatian coast in Croatia
- Teaching my host's family to eat Indian food placed on a plantain leaf using their hands minus all the cutlery, the Indian way!!
