I like to travel whenever I get the chance and I enjoy to see and do new things. I love strange food and local beer from all over the world. And sometimes I wear stretchy pants. In my room. It's for fun.

Music, Movies, and Books

Im a sucker for movies and a walking movie database (yes you can call me a nerd). I watch movies, I organize movie festivals and it is not unusual for me to watch two or three movies in one day. I like almost everything from everywhere. Besides romantic comedies. You can keep those, thank you.

Some of my all time favorites are: Seven Samurai and Chungking Express. Masterpieces in every frame. From camera angles, story, pace, actors... everything just fits together perfectly-

Other movies or series I enjoy: crappy kung-fu movies from the 70ies/80ies. (shawn brothers anyone? :), the IT crowd, It's always sunny in Philadelphia, Akira Kurosawa and Tarantino movies, Snatch, Lock Stock and two smoking Barrels, the Shawshank Redemption, Memento, the Usual Suspects, Tropa de Elite, Princess Mononoke, I shoot you shoot (Maai hung paak yan), Tekkonkinkreet, Unforgiven, Død snø, Attack the Block, The Thing,... (list not final)

Music: electro, punk, ska, rock, old skool hiphop, bluegrass... quite a variety. depends a lot on mood, situation and alcohol. uhm.

Books: the last book i read that left quite an impression on me was 'Just Kids' by Patti Smith. Neil Gaiman is always a good read and so is Terry Pratchett. Besides that i read and enjoyed some classic chinese literature like Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Journey to the West. I like history books, especially first hand written experiences of discoveries or wars. of course i also enjoy plain and simple entertainment pulp. from fantasy to science fiction. oh...and lots of comics. by lot I mean LOTS. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I stood 10sec on one foot. all by myself. no joke!
Besides that, the most unusual thing i've done is probably the time i spent in a Kung-Fu school near the Shaolin Temple in China, back when i was twenty.
