About Me

ABOUT ME

People say I'm "a laid back and a bit crazy person with a positive and respectful attitude to others" - and this is what I like to think of myself :)
I travel a lot with my wife Ewelina, as in the future we'd love to connect our jobs with our true passion (which is travelling itself). Is it possible in today's world? - well, we'll see in the end, won't we? ;)
Meanwhile, we're constantly on the go... occuping ourselves to avoid boredom?! ;)
You're welcome to visit our travelling website - www.przebisniegi.com!

PHILOSOPHY

Respect nature and human beings, stay open-minded despite stereotypes rooted in the head, tolerate and follow good things even if it's not a part of my own culture, reject bad influence and violence, develop myself by ecquiring new experience, love and be loved :)

And I keep holding a few sentences in my head:

"Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it" (M.Gandhi)

"... to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before" -I know it sounds a bit extraterrestial but still, it's one of my favourite sequences from STAR TREK! ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Giving tips and providing people with information about visited countries, surfing and hosting. We have had a few opportunities to host people. Hope, it will rise soon! :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We’ve experienced lots of beautiful moments during our adventure with CS – from being selflessly hosted by people from „different worlds”… through building a henhouse of bamboo, participating in parkour training, discovering our own city with surfers… to making true amazing friends!

Interests

Travelling to different coutries and cultures, hiking in mountains (with no civilization if possible), walking through cities (much less than hiking in mountains ;p), hitchhiking and spending time with drivers (amazing opportunities for touching cultures, sharing stories or meals and making new friends!), cooking (it can be truly relaxing!), cycling, computer (really addicted ;p), watching movies on a comfortable couch, books (guides included!), photography

Music, Movies, and Books

Good vibrations with reggae, powerful rock, no-MTV music, good movies (avoiding romantic comedies and horror movies), good books (not only about travelling ;p), guides with lots of maps inside (especially maps of new hiking trails!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Without doubts – knowing Jaime and Jacky!

It was in Honduras (Central America) at the beginnig of our travel around the world. We were hosted by a young couple who had just joined CS. We spent two fantasitc weeks together crying when the time to say goodbye came. We talked a lot about our dreamt travel and they did the same – gave us away their dream which was a journey to Europe. They had been planning it for a long time, but simultaneously they had been afraid of new obstacles and lack of money (knowing that travelling in Europe is quite expensive). I believe we menaged to influence on them… so finally, they went to Europe! They visited our city and met our families and friends in Poland while we were travelling in South America. That wonderful brave couple from Latin America is living in Spain now and we’re still in touch… feeling that this amazing experience gives us all more faith in friendship! :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Share everything mentioned above (especially travelling stories ;p), discover my city and its neighborhood with you, tell you about my culture, teach you Polish (it’s not as difficult as you may think…?!), learn everything you’d like to teach me and what is combined with my interests somehow (I can always extend that list! ;p)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Just ask and we will see what can we do! :)

You can use the double couch in the living room.
We can enjoy Gdynia and Tri-City together.
