About Me

We're a young couple travelling around Australia in a 4wd for the second time (can't get enough of it) !
We're both French but have been living in Canada, Spain, England..for the last 10 years.
We work in the wine industry and have recently finished our second vintage in Victoria. Hard work but also a lot of fun!

We're fully independent, polite, respectful, non-smokers, mountain and sea lovers.

We're looking forward to meeting locals on the way, people that can show us around their town and looking for new exciting experiences in our second year around this amazing country.

We don't necessarily need a room to stay in if you have a garden as we can sleep in our roof top tent but access to a hot shower is always appreciated! :)

We'd be more than happy to get to know new people around a glass (or bottle) of wine! Or beers (we are not fussy)!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Marie:
I did CS in South America mostly, my first experience was with my brother in Brazil and for me it was incredible to discover this whole new way of travelling. We met so many nice people, families,... You meet someone for the first time and two second after you're family. Brazilian are the best!

The year after I went backpacking with my best friend in Peru and we were hosted by an amazing couple in Cuzco, in only one week we lived the whole CS experience (CS meeting, language exchange, volunteering,..). We were won over.

Since then we hosted some amazing people in Madrid and have met some cool Aussies in our journey.

Sophie: I think getting to know a city/region/country through the eyes of locals is always better :) + Travelling whilst you're young and broke can be quite challenging and CS seems to be a great idea to enable people to visit amazing places without ruining themselves.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We almost died sailing/couchsurfing in the Whitsunday Islands. Crazy story to be told.

Teach, Learn, Share

We love to cook (from lasagna to butter chicken or crepes)! We know how to make wine and olive oil (very important skills in life) We drove 40000km around Australia (and still counting). Sophie sailed around the west coast of France - many times!
