About Me

I have written these descriptions when i created my CS profile many years ago and haven't touched it since. This is 19 years old me, describing 19 years old myself. :) I kind of like it.

Now we are a family of 3(5 as of July2023). :)
I almost always travel with my family.
Virginia is a Maritime Archeologist and I am an -almost- chemical engineer.
Damian is an incredibly smiley and brilliant 1,5 years old whom is guaranteed to make you smile.

All about me? You will have to meet me to find out! OR best scroll trough the references section...

I am walking on earth since 1991. My love of travel started with a bicycle. As soon as i got my bike when i was 17, i traveled about 3000 km with it in less than a year. I dreamed about riding my bike trough countries, so while studying in the university, i also worked for an airline company for a year to save money.(which in the following years turned into a full time profession) Then I flew to SE Asia, spent there 3 months, found myself too lazy to ride my bike, and at the end finally end up hitchhiking to Singapore from Bangkok, and back. It was a lot of fun!

Then i kept on going with the flow. :) When i returned i hitchhiked 1 month around Turkey, and in a short break hitchhiked to Damascus and back. I also hitchhiked in Argentina even it was just about 500 km. :)

I like to read read and read. Writing is also my passion. For me getting to know people and sharing ideas is the core of travelling. I dont care about 3000 years old stones or ancient caves. I like to spend time with people and engage in deep conversations rather than usual tourist stuff.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Relationships matter, not things. People are important to each other because of their relationships, in turn built on trust, a precious commodity that requires at least one party to invest without guarantee. I am an optimist by nature, so I generally start by trusting until proven wrong, which occasionally costs me, but not as much as not trusting would.

What I Can Share with Hosts

For me the beauty of a trip is the new relationships it creates. I solely travel to meet people, learn from different perspectives, make new friends.

I love cooking, and people say i am a great conservationist. Its likely that i will convince you to embark on a small microadventre with us. :)

Apart from that, we have houses both in the heart of Istanbul(the greatest city in the world), and Crete(the most beautiful place in the world). We can share them with you regardless of where we are.
