About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Mastering my Studies :D

ABOUT ME

I am a physical therapist, but don´t work as one right now.
I think life is not about working for the rest of your life.
Yes, I know we need money to provide for ourselves, but I just don´t like the idea of getting a job and work till you´re old and grey.
There is so much more to do than working before my body gives up on me.
So I decided after a short stay in New Zealand I´m going back to University. And I did :D

I´m always looking for new experiences and inspirations to live a life away from the 9-to-5-world.

PHILOSOPHY

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn´t do than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
-Mark Twain
(I have to admit I found it in Laird Hamilton´s book `Force of Nature´)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If you want to stay at my place, just contact me and we figure something out :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couch was in erlangen.
It was a pity that we were to tired to leave the house, but it was quite a pleasant evening.

I don´t couch surf much right now, because of my studies, but in the past it helped me a lot to get around mostly in Sweden and France. I met quite a few nice and friendly people.

Interests

I´m really into music and sports.

I love different kinds of music, but prefer hand made tunes like Dylan, Foo Fighters, Mr.Vedder,....I´m also into old rock like Queen, Led Zeppelin, Eddie Money and all this stuff.
I don´t really get electronic music. It´s fun for an hour, but to me it sounds like the same song over and over again :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I prefer indie, alternative like foo fighters, red hot chili peppers, kings of leon, the blood arm, ,
singer/ songwriter like bon iver, john frusciante,
...there are a lot and I´m open minded for new sounds, but essentially guitarmusic.

films:
I´m a fan of Tarantino and his friend R.Rodriguez, for example KILL BILL, Pulp Fiction, Desperados, Planet Terror,...
I also like film adaptions of comics a lot.
I prefer american movies because of the picture quality.

my top 3:
Little Miss Sunshine
Stranger than fiction
Wayne´s World
:)

books:
ernest hemingway - the old man and the sea
corey taylor - seven deadly sins
hunter s.thompson - fear and loathing las vegas
laird hamilton - force of nature

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It´s amazing when people are interested in the music we make.
It´s unbelievable that people, even if it´s just a few, like what we do.
Music is kind of a therapy. I used it a lot so far to get over a broken heart, but it´s even better when others can identify themselves with what we wrote and find their own interpretation.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to commend this paragraph with a line from a `Shout out Louds´song: show me something new.
Maybe we can show each other new things, new ideas, different philosophies....

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Italy, Liechtenstein, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom, Wales
