About Me

ABOUT ME

I am studying to become a Nurse Practitioner.
I ride a bicycle a lot - if you want to ride in Chicago, get in touch, I have EXTRA BIKES!
I am very interested in sound and light and other senses too... a nice cool dip in the lake, a sweaty run along the shore, a speedy bike trip, I love the outdoors. I also really enjoy working with people, though, so becoming a nurse is a great process for me.

PHILOSOPHY

Perspective changes everything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to show people the big open spaces of Chicago, also the little tiny music places and the enormous spaces filled with sound. I'm friends with people who host, and I have a busy household. but I like to swoop in last minute and save people from sleeping on floors in over-crowded rooms, unless that's what they want...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have spent months staying with friends and have friends who host and travel this way. I'm travelling a bit now and then with my partner on breaks from school.

I can't think of anything I'm NOT interested in.

Music, Movies, and Books

I see a lot of live music, I love Radiohead, Ratatat, Rihanna, Rachmaninoff, Reggae, and lots of other kinds of music - especially bluegrass, soul, hiphop, dance, funk, folk, and shoegaze.
I like most movies, some of my favorites include Baraka, Anchorman, Apocalypse Now, and Amelie.
I read a lot, I love Umberto Eco, Milan Kundera, Vonnegut, Richard Brautigan, Elizabeth Kolbert, Ian Frazier.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'll never stop doing and seeing amazing things. I guess the coastline of Negril, Jamaica and May Field Falls have been up there in recent experiences. The neighborhood in Chicago where I've been working is pretty amazing, too.

Teach, Learn, Share

Many of the greatest things I have discovered were scary and complex and intimidating for a while. Breathe. Listen. Sit. The complex can become simple, the last will be first.

Countries I’ve Visited

Jamaica, Mexico
