ABOUT ME

I have been both a host and a guest, and understand the mentality and needs of both. For me, the value of traveling is more in knowing people, learning about different perspectives towards life, than simply seeing tourist attractions. Sometimes, I may not have the luxury to host the amount of CSers I would wish to because of my busy schedule. But I try my best. As a guest, I and my husband hope to share and exchange rather than only to take from our hosts.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was introduced to CS by my husband. He read about hospitalityclub.org from a local newspaper in Canada back in 2003. He is savvy in web-based business models, and immediately recognized the potential of the platform. He kept track of a few web sites and we have decided to use CS, which is by far the most user-friendly of its kind.
Within CS community, we have set up groups to connect with people of like minds in the virtual world, in addition to the physical world.
We hope to grow with CS.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Host: in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, and in Beijing for multiple times.

Guest: Halifax and PEI, Canada;Sri-lanka, Malaysia,and hopefully in Perth, W. Australia.

Meet-up guests: a couple of times in Beijing, China, 1 in KL, Malaysia.

Most experiences are positive but some are a little disappointing.

Interessen

enjoy any sports which features a combination of music and movements, such as teaching group fitness classes.
Live a health lifestyle, I try to.
I'd wish to brush up my French.
Language and cooking exchange is on CS agenda.
Almost forgot this one: studying effective ways of weight management after reaching middle age.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Too many, beyond word description. A recent one was to become a loser of 15 kilos and then gained 10 kilos. luckily, I am much more muscular.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I teach Chinese, English, cooking, body-building, group fitness classes. I also host/co-host radio talk shows in both English and Chinese. Exchange is welcome
