ABOUT ME

We are open-minded persons who want to enjoy our lifetimes on earth. We want to see a lot of different countries and want to meet as many interesting people as we can from all over the world. So after William finished his studies and Josephine finished High School we decided to travel around Australia nearly a year. After that we spent a month in Mexico we moved to the quite beautiful city of Erfurt where I am working at a health insurance and Josephine is studying Law. In February 2014 and 2016 our daughters were born and now they're the center of our life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A friend of us told us about CS. And because we went to Australia for 7 1/2 months in October 2009 we thought it might be a great opportunity to meet 'real' Australian people. And it definitely was. So it doesn't matter if you are surfing or hosting because all in all it is a great way to meet people from all over the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

After a really terrible stay in a hostel in Sydney we couchsurfed the whole time we travelled Australia and we loved it. So we decided to do it again on our next travels. And it was definitely worth it to surf some couches when travelling around Germany, Thailand, the United States, Denmark, New Zealand, Belgium and Brasil because we got to know awesome people which know are not only our CS-hosts but our friends. So it was an awesome feeling to host a couple of them when they visited us and our hometown Erfurt.

If we are not travelling by ourselves we will host as many people we can and until today we had really awesome surfers here in Erfurt from all around the world (USA, Canada, Argentina, Belgium, Germany, Estonia, UK, Poland, Turkey, Russia, Singapore, China, South Korea, Australia, Czech Republic).

We had only one non-positive CS-experience but we think (and hope) it was an exeption.

Teach, Learn, Share

We want to learn something about different people, cultures and countries.
Josephine is able to speak 5 languages and she is able to teach you if you are interested.
William is addicted to movies so maybe he can share his knowledge about a couple of them ;)
But there are definitely enough things to learn and share about different cultures and countries if you will be our guest.
