After some unlucky appartment search in Freiburg and Berlin, I found my new own appartment in Leipzig, Germany

Very soon, I keep going on again with my Arab-Europe longterm project. Being during the warmer period in Central
Europe/ Germany and during the colder period in the Southern Mediterrean/North Africa.

I am Martin once originally from Berlin, Germany. Usually on the move throughout Europe since 2009. My last
favourite place where I used to stay from late autumn til spring was in Seville and Cadiz in Andalucia , Spain.

This year winter period, I just recently came back from Tunisia where I was from end of November to mid February.

But now I am currently under way on a special mission and with a more professional background:

In the context of my mission I am regularly looking for interesting people in interesting locations, which may take passive or active part in the project or they are just curious and may support as a host.

ABOUT ME

hi folks !

I try to realize a lifestyle as much independent from fixed locations as possible ...
in fact it would be a nice idea being regularly but not constantly on move between several preferred locations ....

... it seems am mainly attracted by music ... but I am also interested in many other themes such as all sorts of cultural aspects, philosophy, politics, economy, religion, spirituality .. etc. ... but one of the main advantage of good music is, it lets the space and spirit open ... so its very inviting to get in touch with other mentalities and cultures by music ...

I guess am sincere and open minded for more or less everything and everyone ... I would love to learn Arabic and Russian ... I should improve my spanish and french dramatically ... but possibly too much lack of time ... :(

I have friends from 20 to 60 and I have learned every age has a sort of advantages and disadvantages, including myself of course ...

... I am thinking a lot about how to realize a more non-materialistic and free world ... I love philosophy and related themes ... I have currently a favour for Universalism, Islam, Spirituality ... and I am basically interested in everything what supports people to become more free on all important levels of life ... :)

.. on the other side I also love just to be somehow without any intellectual brain works ... and just to be ...

I have founded two own small business - one is doing consultancy and project management for cultural matters and for the creative industries - I am specialised in the audiovisual and the music industry, but now developing mainly international projects and the mission is to help and support small organisations and single professionals for their way through the jungle ... my focus themes are advanced professional training / entrepreneurship, project & business development and intellectual property management...

my second biz is to distribute not so known specialties from diverse and different local regions ... so far I have some fruit spirits (liqors) from south west Germany and I am always interested to find very rare and high quality - but not very known - products ...

... for the time being I am on move ... I left Berlin in Aug 2009 and I am preferably only in Berlin during summer and mainly for doing my administration stuff for my small business. but of course it is also nice to meet my friends there ...

should you like to stay in Sevilla I would love to hear from you ... I still haven`t rented my own flat but my landlord has very competitive prices for single and double rooms (less than average which you would pay usually for a shared 8 bed room in a hostel) and the house is situated in the historic center near Alameda (5-9 minutes by feet).

so just drop me a line if you need to stay in Seville. I will further your request to my landlord and we will sort out, how your needs are fullfilled the best way.

anyway, Seville has a great couchsurfing community! So its usually no problem to find some friendly and open minded host. there are several meetings and gatherings of couchsurfing and intercultural exchange groups per week.

Latin Reggeaton (the good ones, not the bad word text ... except Tego !!!

Russian Ska .... the very deep simple but strong rythm ones or the very fast speedy ones ... like from stalingrad ... puuuuhhhh ... really pushing hahahah ...

Flamenco (non commercial one) ... equal some old tradtional and also modern ...

Electronic (mostly minimal & chip tunes) ... (I spent tooo long time into electronics ... but still goooood. ...

Algerian / Marroccan Reggada ... YeaH !!! ... very pushing & very good for dannce!! ...

Punk rock (the dirt guitars & pushing rythms) ...

traditional, modern, pop Arabic (hypnotising voices and driving rythms too) ... ... hakim is one of my favourites ... but of course also Faysal, Oum Koulthum, Abdel Halim Hafez ...

Metal ... the stronger the riff guitars the better ....

African jembe drums (I play myself ... but should learn more :)

Latin Salsa ... (but usually not the commercial flat ones ... )

... also some classic, jazz and spiritual music ... music has no limits ...

i`ve worked several years with Rom people (gypsies) from the balkans .... crazy people somehow and they are one of the best musicians you can find on our planet ...

would love to learn Arabic and Russian ... but still have no idea how to schedule it ... ok, I have started with very simple phrases in Arabic .... but needs still a lot of time to be really involved into learning on a continuing basis .
