Hello, my name is Kate! I am often traveling with one of my closest friends. I am currently going to school at MSU for Sustainable Parks, Recreation and Tourism and am super passionate about outdoor recreation and traveling. I'm very into kayaking and love bouldering or rock climbing when I get the chance (my part of the world is a little flat).

I have a lot of experience traveling in other countries and the US, both couch surfing and camping. Fun fact, I own a full sized school bus with my best friend Jordan and have helped many-a-couch-surfers travel across the US with it!

When I am traveling I love to get authentic experiences and meet new people. I would much rather see a city from the local perspective than a manufactured experience.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I'm staying in a city, I would rather meet cool people and get an authentic experience. All of my couch surfing experiences have been great. I want to help other out when I can and spread the CS goodwill.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have an extensive background in sleeping on couches.
I have spent an entire summer traveling down the US west coast by couch surfing. I have also couch surfed in Argentina and have hosted several folks!

We decided to buy a school bus and fill it with couches and beds. We named her the Green Machine and have since taken tons of couch surfers to Burning man from Michigan or anywhere along our route!
