About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Work to live, never live to work.

ABOUT ME

I love cooking and eating and drinking good wine. I enjoy watching beautiful films (especially the really good, profound, artsy ones which stay on your mind for days afterwards). I love fun, loud, adrenaline-filled nights out in the city with my friends but am also perfectly happy reading a good book and sipping frothy cappuccinos under a warm blanket. I live for music and art. I like writing and thinking and photography and modern design. I love learning (especially new languages). I like people watching, brainstorming, and day dreaming. But mostly my heart is always occupied by the urge to travel, to see, taste, investigate, experience, and LIVE this amazing world (and my life) to it's fullest potential.

PHILOSOPHY

Live what you love.

When nothing is planned, everything is possible!

Life is short. Live it loud.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will be happy to show you around if possible. I'm always free for a cup of coffee or a drink and I'll try to help with language, locations, questions, suggestions or any other information I can provide to make your trip a memorable one.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted several people: men, women and couples of all shapes, ages, sizes and cultures - every single time has been an absolutely AMAZING experience and I have learned something different from everyone I have ever hosted!

I have also recently returned from my very first CS adventure CouchSurfing my way around Scandinavia where I met all sorts of interesting and stimulating people and made new friends for life.

Books:
Metamorphoses (Ovid), The Trial (Kafka), The Bell Jar (Plath), The Catcher in the Rye (Salinger), A Girl Named Zippy (Kimmel), The Virgin Suicides (Eugenides), Slaughterhouse-Five (Vonnegut) and, of course, all of the Harry Potter books (Rowling)...

Music:
Fleet Foxes, Lykke Li, Radiohead, Kings of Leon, Air, Devendra Banhart, Iron & Wine, BMRC, Röyksopp, David Bowie, The Sleepy Jackson, Santigold, Goldfrapp, The Shins, Daft Punk, Beach House, The Magnetic Fields, Feist, The Black Keys, Thievery Corporation, Phoenix, Crystal Castles, Lou Reed, The Album Leaf, Kaiser Chiefs, Greg Laswell, Sigur Rós, Iron & Wine, of Montreal, Ladytron, The Killers, The Arcade Fire, MGMT, Ladyhawke, Band of Horses, The Sounds, Ratatat, Kings of Convenience, Ultra Orange & Emanuelle, The Drums, The Smiths, Portishead, Ólafur Arnalds, Kent, Passion Pit, Coconut Records, Elliott Smith, Boards of Canada, The Velvet Underground, FM Belfast, Fever Ray...

It depends on the moment and my mood, really...

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
I can teach you how to how to count in Spanish, French, and Italian. I can teach you a bit about my city: interesting places to go, fun things to do, and cool things to see. I can teach you a lot (probably more than anybody really wants to know) about Art History. But most importantly, I can teach you how to let loose and have FUN!!!

Learn:
This is a looooong list - I'm currently trying to learn German and eventually want to move on to Swedish. I'm also trying to teach myself how to surf but this has been largely unsuccessful and mostly I just swallow too much salt water! I'd like to know more about cognitive processes such as memory, language processing or problem solving. I'd like to learn how to dance but I'm not very good at it. I'm always interested in learning about new artists and new music. I'm also curious to know more about photography and design and want to learn more recipes from around the world! If you can help me with anay of these I would LOVE to meet you!

Share:
Basically, I love sharing, so I can share anything and everything: stories and experiences I've made throughout my life, travel advice, things I know, my opinions, my kitchen, my couch, my books, my music, my wardrobe . . . don't hesitate to ask!
