ABOUT ME

I am a social girl with a history in many different activities, especially those related to student associations. I've travelled around and spent autumn 2011 in Erasmus exchange in Nancy, France. My last longer trip was a student trip to Benelux and Germany last spring. Among other things, I have also been an international tutor to a group of students at Aalto university school of Chemical technology.

It would be great to find new places were to test my talents in my newest hobby, wall/rock climbing. I'd love to go to new cities and most importantly meet new people abroad and at home and make new friends from all around!

PHILOSOPHY

What I've realised, especially through travelling and being abroad for a longer time in exchange, is the concept of us actually being able to travel anywhere. All it takes is the courage to take pack your things and go - simple, right? :) As a result you get the fireworks of new places, faces and unforgettable experiences.

I would love to have coffee or hang out with visitors in Helsinki. Feel free to contact me for tips or a day out, I love to get a look at my city from a new perspective!

When travelling, I might look for the occasional stay on someone's couch as well as spending some time together and seeing/getting tips on places and things to do I might not else stumble upon. Most of all, couchsurfers seem to an awesome, happy crowd worth getting to know!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have co-CouchSurfed with a friend before, and hosted surfers with my previous roommate who was a member. Little by little, I'm getting started too.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite books are probably by Paul Auster. I also enjoy the books by Siri Hustvedt among others. At the moment I'm reading the Game of Thrones series, I sort of figured it's a part of general knowledge. Due to my stay in France, many of the movies I've watched recently have circled around French themes. I liked Paris, je t'aime (and loved trying to catch glimpses of places that I've seen), Romantics Anonymous and Intouchables to name a few. The TV series How I met your mother and Big bang theory are some of my addictions along with good coffee!
