About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Total world domination and immortality.

ABOUT ME

As we both know - it is neither easy for someone to describe herself (especially under such a title "all about you") nor the output of those attempts come true when the actual meeting in person takes place. According to recent researches, almost eighty percent of people believe that self-written descriptions are misleading and or even deceiving. Furthermore, the rest, that is to say twenty percent of the participants, said they dropped reading profiles years ago and considering to stop looking at pictures as they believe girls add red tint to their cheeks and guys add chest hair thinking that it's cool - using image editing tools. So in this regard one should not expect to get to know another one by reading a profile which might have written drunk, smoked, hallucinated or even Absinthed. So, here we go.! Read no further or you see spoilers about this guy ! He is a 312 years old human-being who grew up in a small town close to Antalya, Turkey, spending his childhood fishing and biking and now he lives in Nice, France. In general, he is quite interested in people and when he is in a new place he prefers meeting people rather than having his photos taken in front of the most famous statue or building building doing silly perspective jokes. When he feels something or when he has something to express he does his best to do it photographically but I think he is not that good at that, he is still experimenting, though. There was one other reason made him so enthusiastic about photography but he cannot remember what it is. Oh it's his volatile memory! He has problems with his memory on remembering people and events and he tries to overcome that by taking photographs. And he loves to be in darkroom when he finds some time to idle around (although I no more have one in Nice). He loves to capture moments and tell stories with more than one photo combined into one piece of work. So it's better you get used soon to be photographed during your stay!

PHILOSOPHY

I looked for a Latin proverb but they all were taken by others. So may be I should quote Ozzy.."I think I'll buy myself some plastic water,I guess I should have married Lennon's daughter, yeah".

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had three flatmates. Found a flat. Had a truckload of friends. Had a haircut on the beach. Learned how to cook Hungarian Gulash. Taught how to cook stuff from Turkish cuisine. Taught how to make prints in the darkroom. Fixed bracelets. Learned some martial arts stuff. Got postcards. Got chocolate along with postcards. Sent gifts. Received news of newborns. Had people have pleasure with delicious food. Had pleasure with delicious food. Hosted people in the darkroom. Caused people to dream of having "an affair" with a dog (the same guest who slept in the darkroom, chemicals, I think). Swam at night. Heard a lot of stories. Hosted a 10-month old baby. Had whiskey on the rocks.. Literally. Had a really nice Victoria's Secret bikini (thanks Kayla). Learnt how to make and stretch pizza dough using knuckles. Jogged many times with guests. Discovered a lot of books, music, and movies. Perfected my own White Russian recipe thanks to the feedbacks of my guests. Learnt pickup lines in Polish. Never got to use them. Spent a night till 7am in a gay bar. Travelled to Italy many times. Many times. Practised French and Italian. Had a road trip in Riviera. Hosted while not at home. Got driving lessons. Received a request asking me to host in Oslo - where I've never even been. And still counting..

Interests

Art in any form (but particularly photography, and may also be cinema, although I am not knowledgeable on cinema as much as I am on photography), history, literature, politics, languages, and people!

Speaking of photography, I don't like talking about cameras, being interested in photography doesn't necessarily mean enjoying a fetish towards cameras and huge lenses. Even though I shoot film and I don't have a digital camera I believe that there is just one photography, there is no digital or film photography, as we don't have pen and pencil poetry, there are photographers who just record the image on different mediums. So if you want to talk about photography go beyond the pixels and tell me what you see or want to see.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Have been in a traditional Bavarian brewery with a pretty Bavarian lady wearing traditional Bavarian dress!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can talk about the basics of photography, darkroom (I had one in my previous apartment for four years), hand-coloring black & white prints, and historical sun printing processes, and history & politics and the cuisine of Turkey, and so on.

In return, I'd like to hear your story, talk about & practice yoga (mostly to check if I'm doing it right as I'm a beginner) if you're into yoga, and cook together if you have some tips to share.
