About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience the global community on an intimate level, and document people's stories.

ABOUT ME

I'm looking to travel and build my portfolio, primarily on documentary subjects and projects, photographing and interviewing people for stories we can all relate to and in so doing, eliminate in some small way the ignorance that causes conflict.

PHILOSOPHY

I live trying to achieve the highest vibrations of my energy, and in so doing, boost the vibrations of those around me. Radiate love and affection, empathize with those around me, and in so doing understand more and more about this life Iive been given.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As of now, I will be traveling, though in the future I plan to host as well, as soon as I have lived somewhere long enough to know the place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just completed my first one! Stayed with Merlijn, an experimental physicist in Delft, Netherlands. What a wonderful way to learn about a culture and get to know a slice of life in another place! I look forward to making more friends in the future!

Interests

Documentary photography, fine art, visual art, good style, integrative design, applied design, books, drawing, anything creative. Oh and the beautiful game, soccer, football, futbol, however it is wherever you are.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: The Fountain, Seven Pounds, Pan's Labrynth, Kill Bill 1&2, Reservoir Dogs, The Usual Suspects, Christopher Guest movies, Afro Samurai, most kung fu, Princess Mononoke, Paprika, almost anything, unless it's ANOTHER police drama.

Music: Almost anything but country, some of my recent playlists have included Blockhead, Massive Attack, Deltron, AC/DC, Ben Harper, Bela Fleck, Lauren Hill, Wyclef, Bonobo, Moby, Bob Marley, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, and many, many more.

Books: I am currently reading Finite and Infinite Games, by James P. Carse (Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintainence). I am very interested in new sciences and read books about Noetics and Epigenetics, and other quantum mechanics related things. Thich Nhat Hanh, the Dalai Lama, and the Mind and Life conferences are some of the most amazing things I've read recently. Generally, if it catches my eye, I'll read it, and I am endlessy curious, so I'll read almost anything. For leisure I also enjoy a good fantasy/fiction novel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visited an underground English and Tibetan culture school in Lhasa, where Tibetan is taught by Chinese as a foreign language usually.

Teach, Learn, Share

Ask me about Adobe software, scuba diving, skiing, soccer (futbol!) and photography, as well as anything else, I love to share and be a recipient for someone else's expertise. People tell me I am unusually perceptive, and sharing and learning with people is one of my favorite things to do!

Countries I’ve Visited
