About Me

ABOUT ME

Born in Chile, moved to Spain when I was 15, been living in Barcelona since 2014. Planning to stay here for the time being, hopefully with many trips in between

I studied Translation and Interpreting in English and French, so I am fluent in both languages. I'm currently working as an administrative assistant for a company that sells chemical products. Basically, I sell air :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have used CS both to travel and host. Unfortunately I cannot accept guests in my shared flat, but I'm glad to meet up with fellow CSers during trips.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I created my profile in 2009, but I never used it until 2012. That was when I first used it to travel and after I saw what a great community this was, I started hosting people in my flat. It has been a great experience so far, I have met plenty of interesting and open-minded people. I always try to get my friends to try Couchsurfing, even if it's just for a meeting, it's totally worth it.

Interests

I adore music, couldn't live without it. Luckily in my current job I'm allowed to listen to music, which is a huge perk. I go to many gigs and festivals that take place in Barcelona, so I'm always looking for gig buddies too.

I also like films and TV shows (well, TV... Netflix and HBO on my laptop). I also read a lot, I'm not into a specific genre, but anything that makes me think is just fine.

I'm not that much into sports, but I'm an active person, I can spend hours walking around a city and not getting tired.

I became a vegetarian in 2014, so now I'm interested in finding new restaurants that serve this kind of food. I enjoy cooking and trying new recipes, so maybe one day you'll get to try one of my dishes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 19 I went to a festival in Spain, Benicassim, with people I'd never seen before in my life, I just met them in an internet forum. I've made very good friendships thanks to that forum, and we still get together to go to festivals and concerts.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you words and phrases from the languages I speak, and also share experiences from my travels. I am also a pretty good cook (not boasting, that's what people say!), so I can share my favourite recipes.
