About Me

CURRENT MISSION

never to feel that a day has been wasted

ABOUT ME

Not so easy to describe ourselves... Just read the rest of our profile & references to get a basic idea :)

PHILOSOPHY

"The mind is like a parachute - it doesn't work unless it's open"
- Frank Zappa

"Every man is more than just himself; he also represents the unique, the very special and always significant and remarkable point at which the world's phenomena intersect, only once in this way, and never again. That is why every man's story is important, eternal, sacred".
- Herman Hesse, Demian

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: We love Camus, Kafka, Proust, Borges, Sarraute, Coetzee, Beckett, Woolf, Cortazar, Morante, Wilde, Gary, Ancient Greek stuff, Israeli literature (we have some good stuff! ask us...), world mythologies, cultural theory, & so much more.

Movies: Some random favorites are The Lives of Others, Lost in Translation, Only Lovers Left Alive, Waltz with Bashir, Wings of Desire, Amelie, Blowup, Volver...

Music: Led Zeppelin, King Crimson, The Doors, Devendra Banhart, Robert Wyatt, Beethoven, Janis Joplin, Tom Waits, Mercedes Sosa, Miles Davis, Keren Ann, Bob Dylan, Chopin, Bon Iver, lots of blues, jazz, folk, indie, anything really...
We're always happy to get to know good music from other countries - please introduce us to your local favorites!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

With the risk of sounding cliche - we find almost everything pretty amazing. We do. A grasshopper standing on a fresh green leaf. A pair of hummingbirds peeking through our window. A sense of harmony between people who play music together. Creations made by human beings. Little acts of generosity. The way everything in our world is so complex, yet in a way very simple. And being lucky enough to see and experience all of that.

Teach, Learn, Share

Learn: Anything & everything you'd like to teach us.
Share: Our house, city, smiles & stories.
Teach: We can teach you how to make chocolate, special desserts, or tasty local vegetarian dishes. Also, we can share knowledge about making good compost & growing your own food. & most important, we'd love to teach you about our city and culture.
