ABOUT ME

Basically in a nutshell...
Discovered this site through a Polish friend. I became instantly interested in the idea of sharing experiences with different people from different cultures, SWEEETTT!
I live in the south suburbs of Dublin called Harold's Cross. I live in the shadow of XSt. Patrick sCathedral which looks all gothic and cool! I'm sharing an apartment with 3 others so for the moment I can't host, only in extreme emergencies for short periods!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I organise/go to events and can show people around the city or just go for a coffee or chat! I can go on photo walks or go to the mountains. I prefer nature instead of the city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It began small....
some walks around the natural landscape of Dublin with some Cser's leading to making some friends with them followed by organising a week long trip around scotland! Seeing some amazing sites of nature and cityscape!
I then went to Switzerland where I was the guest of an Irish night of a host and my friend :) That was followed by a few awesome parties and a train journey the next day across france to my brother's house.
2 months later, I did a 1 month eurotrip! Slovakia, Poland, Czech Rep., Germany, Holland, Belgium, France. One of the most insane months of my life.....from living with a Japanese obsessed sword fighter outside of Prague to staying in the back of a transit van beside the S-Bahn line in Berlin. I roughed it and it was amazing :D.

Interests

Languages..
On arriving in a different country, I like to be able to speak the basics of the language there. If I find the language easy and interesting, I'll learn it! At the moment I've got Beginners Irish, German, and Brazilian Portuguese
Intermediate Polish and French
Fluent English, Hiberno, British and American.

Culture...
Different cultures fascinate me. The more diverse, the further I want to delve into it! I'm interested in visiting FINLAND, ICELAND, RUSSIA, PERU, ALASKA, LAPPLAND, THAILAND, CAMBODIA, NEW ZEALAND.

Environment...
I recycle a lot, I don't waste electricity and I consider water precious. I cycle most places except when hosting, I take public transport.

Sustainability...
In recent years, I've broken out of my caveman routine and have started to become more sustainable...not to waste time or life. it occured to me that I'll only be able to cycle so fast and far until one day my body will just say NO.

Effects...
Things I create in my room or through my work.
Photography...
If you happen to be a photographer, we have much to share :). I'm not the average portrait photographer. I do light painting ( as in my profile picture) I also like to do more risk-taking style work..as in if a sign says ''KEEP OUT''...i do the opposite.
BMX'ing...
Still looking for a cheap one but I'm also into any extreme sports
Currently I'm starting to take up Longboarding!

Art...
A way to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of life.

Music...
Trip-Hop...Drum and Bass..Techno...Trance..Psytrance...Metal....Celtic Metal....Chill...Jazz.....NO Katy Perry...Lady Gaga or any other artist that gets played on the radio 20 times a day...music is meant to be enjoyed...not exploited.

Reading..
Not so much but the most recent thing I read was ''The Dark Tourist'' by Dom Joly.

Got high while watching the most amazing sunrise 2 years ago....
Travelled across Europe in 1 month on €780...
Spent 24 hours on a bus with a bottle of absinthe.. O.o
