Interests

Like Molière’s Monsieur Jourdain, I have been couchsurfing without knowing since long before this site was born, before the Internet age in fact. Various travels across Europe and Asia have seen me sleeping in temples, monasteries and night shelters, in sheds, basements and garages, even in a squatted house close to the Berlin Wall and a military camp somewhere in a war-torn country.
I joined CouchSurfing in mid-August 2006 and hosted my first CSer some 10 days later, after I had already forgotten about my membership. Since then, my friend and I have regularly welcomed foreign guests in Delhi and I love to think that we contributed to making their acclimatization to this huge and sometimes unforgiving city a bit more comfortable.
My CouchSurfing experience has thus been positive so far, though I did encounter (not necessarily hosted) some less pleasant characters. Without going into details, people who take too much or too many people for granted and would probably benefit from meditating upon the categorical imperative. Being averse to any form of extremism, I have almost consistently refrained from using the “Extremely positive” assessment in my references, except for friends made outside CouchSurfing. Being equally averse to the idea of neutrality, I have avoided the “Neutral” reference as well. To penetrate my deeper thoughts will probably take a bit of reading between the lines.

Well, I joined this website cause I am really really keen to discover cultures, languages and to share experiences and lifes. I love music and everything that has to do with it, but I love many many more things too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Won first place at the sperm race and born 9 month and 18 days later.
- As a 3 years old boy I was helping my mother baking. But I did not know that the plasticbasket was not the right thing to bake kake in. When the plastic got smeltet and the smoke came out of the oven I cried out after my mother. She came in the right moment... but the oven could not be used after this anymore...
-Now i do more grownup things... -sending a container overseas with help for the poor, - the wooden legg storie, helped out a boy from the prison back to the school - aranged a trip to India which a mother and her baby who needed a heartoperation. Now the girl can grow up normal :-)
