About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet people, share stories, laughs and perhaps, a good meal.

ABOUT ME
Please read how we participate in CS. We don't want to feel like we are a cheaper alternative to a hotel, which means we want to get to know you. We will often feed you, but if you are going to stay here for a bit and partake in the abundance, we expect that you will contribute by helping out around here or by paying for some groceries. If you are unsure, just ask! We'll figure it out together!

We are fun, playful, inquisitive and compassionate beings who have been blessed by a lovely family and a variety of friends. We love to see things grow: From gardens to communities, animals and kids: It's all good! We appreciate nature, communication, traveling off the beaten path and unexpected miracles. We celebrate often. We take care of ourselves and each other and those whom the Universe has chosen to walk on our path.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is good. People are good. All else is just confusion.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We love to host folks who want to build relationships with us, share a meal, hang out whenever possible. We like folks to stay with us 3-4 days. We appreciate those who contribute by helping with dishes, gardening, building things, etc. If you need just a place to crash and we won't see you at all, then this is probably not the best fit. We retired early and love to travel in our rv with our cats. We have more ability to host when we're actually home, especially if you are willing to teach us Permaculture, Spanish, Arabic, play an instrument, knit or any other cool skill that you may have!

Interests

I Love to Zumba, hike, camp, snorkel, climb mountains, see wild beasts, help make this world even better, appreciate looking and making art. Love to sit on the couch, watch movies.

Music, Movies, and Books

Many different styles of music but please no grunge/heavy metal or Chinese Opera!
Love Independent films, but don't like gratuitous violence to show that violence is gratuitous!
Books - too many to mention -some of my favorite authors are Isabel Allende, Dorothy Allison, Audra Lorde.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For me, Limor, witnessing the birth of my child and engaging with the journeys of both my boys into manhood; Running in the Maui Marathon after losing over a 100 lbs. Seeing how good life is. I'll have to ask Rachel, my partner, about hers.

Teach, Learn, Share

Those who aren't afraid to face their fears and go for their dreams; Those who love to contribute, share and are playful; Those who have learned how to create balance in their lives, how to be compassionate and optimistic and those who have struggled and overcame barriers.
