ABOUT ME

Those who are giving off positive energy tend to attract other people giving off positive energy, and thus, good things normally happen. On the other hand, people who give off negative energy tend to attract other people giving off negative energy, and thus, bad things often happen.

You are creating your own reality, what's it gonna be?
(read part of this in a book, and adjusted it a bit, but I think it's a good philosophy!)

Hi! We're Andrew (32) and Siera (26). We're back from our around the world journey that started in August 2012. We took a break from our careers, sales and rehabilitation sciences research, for 8 months to travel around South America, the Western US, Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia, SE Asia etc. Now we are back and would love to continue returning the favors that we received from so many amazing people around the world.

A little bit about us, we grew up in Michigan and Washington state, respectively, and currently reside in Jackson, MI. We have two very spoiled dogs, Max, a Jack Russell/Sheltie Mix, and Luna, a Mini Australian Shepherd, who will be staying with their grandparents while we're gone. We both love adventures. Andrew runs an adventure club based out of Ann Arbor with over 2000 members, organizing outings such as luging, speed-flying, sky-diving, weekend adventures, and much more. He has a pilot's license and enjoys island hopping in the Great Lakes. Siera, being the typical Pacific Northwesterner, enjoys hiking, backpacking, snowboarding, and polar fleece.

PHILOSOPHY

Make sure everyone is having an awesome time. We're passionate about planning and organizing things that other people benefit from. To sum it up in four words, "Do the right thing".

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have a spare room with a queen bed, a couch, an aerobed, or a giant memory foam blob (which is insanely comfortable) with an awesome lake view that we are always happy to share.

In the summer, our pontoon is available for use, and when I'm there, we can Tube or Ski behind the Jet boat.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In addition to hosting a few people (although Jackson isn't a popular cs destination), we've stayed in Washington State up by Mt. Baker and in Pittsburgh with a Base Jumper who really showed us a good time. It's a blast meeting people with different viewpoints and experiences and learning about new places...

Intereses

Volleyball, Backpacking, Kayaking, Snowboarding, Flying, Traveling, Snorkeling, pretty much any outdoor sports, Speed Flying, and are always up for trying new things (at least once).

Andrew: I recently learned to Surf in Tamarindo, Costa Rica! The Chair lift that takes you up the mountain in Capri Italy is breathtaking! Most of all, cliff jumping across the Greek Isles was absolutely amazing!
Siera: Traveling to Ghana for research, natural waterslides in Kauai, backpacking 52 miles in 45 hours from Darrington to Stehekin (WA)
