About Me

I seem to have had an issue with notifications from this site. Fixed now, I should answer within a couple of days.

Right now I make my income as a writer, which I can do anywhere. This has allowed me to travel a lot, and to have some crazy experiences that would never have happened otherwise. I occasionally do consulting in areas relating to my work when I was last settled, which has to do with psychology and restorative justice.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This is definitely one of the best uses of the internet that has ever been invented.

Music, Movies, and Books

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Neverending Story, The Globalization of Addiction, Cosmos, Hypnosis: A History, Jane and the Dragon, Cocaine: An Unauthorized Biography, The Mind's Eye, The Fabric of the Cosmos, An Anthropologist on Mars, Revolution in Mind, What If?, The Age of Wonder, The Little Prince.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year in Vegas I traded mind tricks with the colonel from "The Men who Stare at Goats" over 3 days. Though in general I kind of hate Vegas...

Teach, Learn, Share

I have some oddball skills and some wicked party tricks. I have a lot of experience with mediation, conflict. I know one and a half card tricks. I can can and jar stuff, I have made some pretty good schnapps in the past. I'm pretty skilled in Microsoft office, and editing things in general.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm not just looking for a place to stay. Usually I'll stay in a hostel when I want to explore the city myself, and get a host to be more social, get to know people, and see the city with someone who knows it better.

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, Mexico, United States
