About Me

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ THIS: I'm quite disappointed about many many people on Couchsurfing, who think that other people's time is not as important as theirs. It's not only about thankfulness (which i saw decreasing too over the years), but about the minimum respect to tell another CS if a plan/trip/whatever gets cancelled while they are waiting for us. It happened already several times to me (and also close CS friends told me about it) that I offered to host someone or found time to show somebody around or take them to an event or whatever and after a long time texting and organizing they just don't show up or change plans and don't even let me know. I think this is very disrespectful and egocentric. When you're awaiting somebody and this person is not showing up and not even picking up the phone, you first think something might have happened to them. Very disappointing when you find out later that they just didn't give a f*** to at least let you know.
Due to these several stories, I decided that from now on I will leave everybody a negative reference who's behaving this way and just wastes my time. No worries, I still fully understand that plans can change and sometimes some unlucky sh** happens that you might not be able to tell the other CS that you can't show up. But a little text, even days after, explaining the situation has never hurt anybody. And I hadn't got only bad experiences: loads of CS told me if their plans changed last minute and I don't mind, because it can happen to all of us.

LIFE MISSION

survive this life

ABOUT ME

Can it be honest to write about yourself? :P maybe better if you read the references...in short: I can be crazy, nice, calm, party-animal, sentimental, hippie etc...
For me it's very important to learn and experience new things, i try and want to live an alternating life, seeing always more points of views.

In any case you can find me on BeWelcome as well: stux

And if you like photography as I do, check out my website and find Pikachu ;)

MY OLD - FUNNIER - PROFILE:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Simple: I'm a travel addict!

Beside surfing and hosting, I asked the CS-team to add Ladin in the language list and as you can see they did =)

And also I'm taking part at CS meetings and sustainable CS, where beside Vienna we try to put up the Manchester sustainability community

Interests

Beside of discovering the world -music (!!!), photography, the secrets of life (eheh), nature, culture (art, concerts...) and sport activities (Capoeira, basket, foootball etc.), but also in nightlife and of course meeting people.

I believe and know everybody has has some passions and interesting parts, those I like to get to know!

I'm sure I've forgotten to mention something however I'll tell you that in person

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Everything that makes you moving and rocking!! And feeling!!Some of them: Rock, Ska, Rumba (mostly La Pegatina & Los Delinqüentes), Punk (Blink182, Doctor Krapula, Talco, Ska-P and Sum41), Electronic, Latin, Reggae, Italian Folk but also Classical (at the moment Operas), Jazz and Blues, Metal and Country etc.

and one I mixed : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpEqiwADgVM

Part of it is also visiting gigs of course :)I'd like also to get to know typical music from the different countries

Movies: I haven't watched a lot, but normally I prefer realistic movies except X-Men

Books: I read tons of books every year. Usually three or four at the same time (so that the knowledge can settle, while I'm on the other one). Most are non-fiction. But I also read novels from time to time. Some everyone knows, like "The Alchimist", " Uncle Tom's Cabin", "Faust" and some more...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, long long time ago I won a race: I was the first sperm which reached the egg-cell. Phew! Mabe you won't believe it but I really ran for my life!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmmm... I could teach you some words in ladin, the old romanic language, magic tricks, how to draw or maybe some Capoeira-steps

And I'm very thirsty for knowledge as well, so I love to learn new things, skills, dance-moves etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts
