ABOUT ME

I travel all over UK for my work in concert and installed sound, teach some modern Jive to beginners, walk and bike in countryside. Love to swim and walk by the sea , river or lake. My Company HQ is in Germany so I often travel there via Munich and I love Vienna, could easily live there, vist 2 or 3 times a year- great CS scene as well! Have TEFL Certificate and tutor some overseas students - many international friends and currently have Asian language students stay in my house. Attend a large lively Christian fellowship and help out in the Audio Visual team. Good cook as parents managed a hotel when I was in my teens, so I helped my mum in the Kitchens.

PHILOSOPHY

Active in a lively, open minded, contemporary Church with lots of music and a great worship band made up of pro and semi pro musicians who are out gigging on Saturday nights and leading worship in Church on Sundays. Its a 100 yr old building reopened in Nov 2009 and making an impact in the community

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Love to host folk and sometimes have a small spare room suitable one person - been to CS events in Europe and London, host folk in Brighton when I am available.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Group meetings, swimming in the Donau in Vienna with some Austrian CS'ers, organising an event in Vienna to go to the Jazz festival open air. Surfers in my house.

Jedna niesamowita rzecz, którą zrobiłem(-am)

Had the best Pizza ever in Nepal by the lake at Pokhara! Stood on the equator in Uganda. Guests of honour at a tea party in a remote Ugandan mud hut village, so generous. Ambushed by armed bandits near the border of Rwanda when in a hosptial mini-bus. Experienced a Typhoon number 8 in Hong Kong. Watched an amazing firework display in Macau on China day. Drove to the Burma border in a jeep in Thailand on a very rainy day. Day trip to Laos - amazing. Went with a medical team into a traditional Maasai tribe village in the Rift Valley, Kenya.

I teach sound system design, configuration, installation and operation from time to time, in Univs, Churches, my job and causally. Teach modern jive and tutor English. Guide folk around London and Brighton.
