About Me

Well...as of april first we are on a huge biketrip troughout europe!

First we'll cycle to greece and want to eventually see the most southern point, then we'll be on our way to the northcape.
It is gonna be a great adventure and we hope that we can also couchsurf a little (or gardensurf as we have a tent with us).
We are quiet when u need us to be, but also fun with lots of stories if you are up for some conversations.
We can cook and bake and if there is time and room for it we'd love to make a vegan dish for our hosts.

On another side:
We are also interested in different kinds of activism, as well as how this applies to traveling like -ecofriendly (friendlier) traveling, no airplane travel, slow traveling, vegan traveling, queer traveling, conscious traveling. We are into queer /intersectional feminism, against racism, classism, transphobia, ableism, homophobia and so on. We want radical change in society and how it is organized. ;)

We don't do alcohol or other drugs, so I would appreciate if you keep that in mind.

I am traveling with: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/sandra-jonas-1

We also would love to connect with people who are interested in minimalist lifestyle and zero waste. We just started to gradually get rid of buying plastic wrapped things as much as possible.:) Obviously we know that it is way harder while u r traveling. ^^

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started couchsurfing years ago and had the best experiences both hosting and being hosted. Meeting other travelers on the road. Exchange and expand perspectives and all that. Was mostly traveling alone so thankful for the company.

My housing situation and working situation didn't allow me to participate for a while now, but I now resurrect this account :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I realized lately that I did not get in too much new music, I am somewhere stuck in 2007. :D Depending on my mood I move between Placebo, Dredge and Sia and Sam Smith and the like. I was in a moshpit at a System of a Down concert, but I will sing Adele under the Shower. I also have a heart for riot grrrl music sometimes. And I get emotional listening to Nina Simone. I also like mellow guitar music when I am in the mood. I might go to the Melt festival this year. So electronic music is sometimes great too. So yes Music and so on. I am curious to know more. Also creating music. I can play a bit guitar and very little ukulele. Want to get better at it.

Movies: I haven't watched many movies in the last years- I became quite the netflixer. Things like Orange is the new black, Orphan Black, Stranger Things, Sense8..guilty pleasure Downton Abbey or right now with mixed feelings Transparent.

Books: Right now mostly travel guides xD. Millenium Trilogy,Jane Austen (haha),Game of Thrones,Harry Potter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am not sure what qualifies. Wanna do more things where I am certain that they qualify.

I used to travel alone a lot,
-did some walking/wildcamping trip in Italy,
- hitchhiked 6 weeks from southern germany to scotland and around england and back.
- took a train from sacramento to chicago. (3400km)

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good laugh?
