About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Look around!

ABOUT ME

Like you I resist being summarized in a small box.

On any given day I would be happy to bake a cake, install a doorknob, weed a potato field, write a play, or anything inbetween.

PHILOSOPHY

Summons, by Robert Francis

Keep me from going to sleep too soon
Or if I go to sleep too soon
Come wake me up. Come any hour
Of night. Come whistling up the road.
Stomp on the porch.
Bang on the door.
Make me get out of bed and come
And let you in and light a light.
Tell me the northern lights are on
And make me look. Or tell me clouds
Are doing something to the moon
They never did before, and show me.
See that I see. Talk to me till
I'm half as wide awake as you
And start to dress wondering why
I ever went to bed at all.
Tell me the walking is superb.
Not only tell me but persuade me.
You know I'm not too hard persuaded.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have met cool folks through this site, used it for information-gathering, and been a guest on a couple couches.
I want to talk to you even if I cannot host you!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

People are inherently good.
Couchsurfing is basically someone deciding, 'Yes, I want to problem-solve with strangers. Yes, I want to do someone a favor.'
That is a tremendously huge thing, and should be encouraged constantly. This site is a good way to do it.

Interests

Writing, words, people, laughter, light on buildings, poetry, people-watching, listening, exuberance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During my student teaching experience in Australia, I took a 10-day road-trip through Tasmania. I lived out of a car and climbed a mountain.

Teach, Learn, Share

My life is spent collecting and sharing information. I apologize for not being more specific, but its all about the living, teachable moment. I do not hesitate to seize them as they come.

Countries I’ve Visited
