About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Respond to every call that excites my spirit

ABOUT ME

I am here to embrace every step of this beautiful journey called life and connect and share with everyone I meet.

PHILOSOPHY

To love and be loved and spread it around.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Joined couchsurfing on a friend's recommendation but I have "surfed" all the while since I have opened my home to many and vice versa.

I love to cook and would be happy to share a meal or two with my guest or host. I am also a good "Jane" of many trades and can lend a hand in the home or the garden.

I love to hear about the craziest, most interesting "this one time in. . ." tale you have and like swapping a few of my own.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met wonderful people on this site and still amazed at how simple and magnificent of a way to connect and build community all over the world.

Interests

Music, festivals, dance, organic gardening and local foods, yoga, permaculture, earthen building, herbalism and healing with plant forms, hiking, cooking, wine, microbrews, meeting new friends from all walks of life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a fan of many kinds of music, including(but not limited to) rock, folk, bluegrass, hip hop, afrobeat. I love it when I discover new music and I love going out to live music shows and festivals. Books that have moved me greatly: anything by Jack Kerouac, Life of Pi by Yann Martel, Siddhartha by Herman Hesse, Three Cups of Tea, Women Who Run with the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes, and poetry by Rumi.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There can't be just one, but here's a few. . .

Chased every waterfall I could find on Maui and plunged.

Lived in a tree house on an organic cacao bean farm in Costa Rica with howler monkeys as my fickle roommates.

Saw a mother and a baby whale migrating in the ocean under a full moon night.

Been taken in by strangers in foreign lands with different languages than mine.

Skinny dipped in the Adriatic Sea.

Climbed eight story tower overlooking all of Burning Man at night.

Helped create homes with sand, straw, water, clay, pure human power, and love.

And so excited about so much more to come. . .

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a thing or two about herbalism, natural healing, wilderness first aid, nutrition, yoga, cooking many different types of cuisines, and living a peaceful and sustainable life are my current fortes.

Just beginning to learn about natural building(adobe, cob, etc.). Also interested in learning more about permaculture and various sustainable living skills. Would be cool to also hook up with people who could teach me about mushroom foraging and wild edibles. And I could use a few guitar lessons.

Interested in learning about anything that you are passionate about!
