ABOUT ME

I am an easy going individual who has recently started to look beyond books. I am fond of singing, cooking , baking in particular and I am trying to develop my skills as a gardener. I have been doing some spade work for writing a book about India , actually a novel. People tell me that I am easy to get along with. Sorry, you will have to find out more by running into me :) so, either be my guest or host !!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am very new to Couch Surfing and wish to make a lot of new friends on the roads of the world. I am very keen on having lots of people pouring into my place and I certainly wish to go a lot of places. I wish to make generous financial contributions to this project as time passes because I see CS as a wonderful way to bring the world together and to fizzle out all the prejudices and misconceptions that exist across different cultures , peoples and races.There is a very big humanitarian appeal to it beyond the adventure and fun. I would also love to write for CS within the forum and outside.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I recently hosted three French ladies and we have turned into great friends. Just the thought of their stay at my place leaves a smile on my face. It was a wonderful experience and I hope to have many more of those.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love watching American Pie , part I, II & III for all the none-sense , I really am a comedy person. I love watching Friends for that matter . But I can also enjoy 50 First Dates (Adam Sandler rocks!), Pride & Prejudice (for Keira Knigtley) and Notting Hill, Hugh Grants can be so elegantly disheveled!
Music, has been a blessing. I can sing and nothing keeps me from that . Thankfully, I can also listen to others sing :) I enjoy country and a lot of Sufi.
Don't even want to talk of books. That is one thing i really want to escape at CS . I had more books than everything else put together in my house. My professional interests had made me do that. I have read Geography and Psychology extensively. It is ,however, English literature that is close to my heart, where I have a preference for prose over verse. Thomas Hardy and Jane Austin are amongst my favorites.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think sharing itself, brings some teaching and learning. Lets open our hearts and share, sharing your roof with someone could be the bare minimum , but it could certainly bring big lessons to the guest and the host.
