About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Do one thing every day that scares me!

ABOUT ME

I've been a juggler for many years, juggling was often a reason for my travels and a way to meet wonderful people all around Europe.
I'd love to meet fellow jugglers and discover the best places to juggle wherever I stay.

I'm a translator and an interpreter and I'd like to get the chance to communicate in more languages (or get to a level where I'm able to have a proper communication in them!)

I'm going to translate a novel sometime. I don't know which or how, but I'm sure it's going to happen at some point. Who knows, maybe I'll meet the right people through Couchsurfing, or maybe I already have...

But I'm also a bit of a coward, and I'm currently working on changing that (see my mission).

Of course, this is not "All about me" - I would feel rather one-dimensional if I could tell *all* about yourself in this little box here. I'd rather learn more about others in a personal conversation, and vice versa!

PHILOSOPHY

Ever tried? Ever failed? Don't matter.
Try again. Fail again. Fail better.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't had the chance to host many people, because I've been travelling around a lot over the last few years.

But this year we are setting up a community on our own piece of land in the Amazon and will be happy to welcome visitors and volunteers there - so watch this space!

I also really enjoyed being part of the Edinburgh CS community, events, weekly meetings, showing others around town etc. It's been a real eye-opener so far! :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I feel nothing but fortunate for the experience with the people that I met through couchsurfing. I was reminded of many things that should be self-evident, but tend to be forgotten.

To me, besides the very practical benefits, CS is a source of energy that enables people to change for the better - a bit like placing lucky pennies randomly in the streets, to make people feel lucky for maybe just one moment, and let them dare something that they otherwise wouldn't have done.

I re-learned trust and openness and the power of the "magic force that dwells in all beginnings"...

Interests

Sitting in circles, talking in circles, sometimes going round in circles as well...

Non-violent communication, meditation, Psytrance, Love, Happiness.

Breatharianism.

And just about anything that someone can tell be about with genuine enthusiasm!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Three days without food and water, living on pure pranic energy - best three days of my life!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd be happy to teach anyone who's interested, how to juggle, because it's great fun and it's even better to do it together with other people.

Ok, this is starting to get a bit repetitive, as if I can't talk about anything but juggling the whole day long. That's not true, of course, though it's what happens sometimes, when you're spending six months of your life writing a thesis about juggling!

But I'm also a translator and interpreter and I think you can never know enough languages. That's why I'd like to learn from others and improve my Spanish or French or Romanian or Sign Language!

Oh, and I can show you how to solve Rubik's Cube ;)
