ABOUT ME

I'm a graduate student at Oregon State University studying marine ecology, by day. And night.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to meet new people, host people and build a community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I traveled with my best friend Hannah through Europe for six weeks, going through Italy, France and Spain. We met so many amazing people, an experience I will never forget. I hope that I can host them all one day, or if not, I hope that by hosting other people I can pass on the great experiences and memories I had from my time in Europe. We had nine (!!) fantastic hosts, thanks to Marcello, Luciano and Anna, Andrea, Claudio, Claudi, Pauline, Pablo, Ingmar and Jose Antonio, it was so sad to leave you all!

Música, películas y libros

My most favorite book is To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf. My second most favorite is Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino. I also love love love Chekhov, Diaz, Murakami, Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Hemingway.

Algo increíble que he hecho

A few years ago, I spent time doing marine research on a little island off the coast off the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. Completely uninhabited, the island is the site for long term marine field experiments done by the lab group I worked in during my undergraduate. I loved the experience of being somewhere so secluded, so connected with the ecosystem, and just so overwhelmed by the beauty and diversity that can be easily overlooked.
