ABOUT ME

Hi, I live in a beautiful city of Seward, Alaska, where both the rich retired couples and backpackers dream to go to.
My husband was born and raised here, he was fond of Alaska and outdoors and made me love it too. Before he met me he hated to be alone, so he hosted young tourists or summer workers, showing them the beauty of this land or just going out for a drink.
He passed away in a car accident. I have the same place and the same issues now. I work a lot in the summer, but I make sure to go hiking, camping and canoeing at least every week. I love crazy outdoor ideas and up for anything you offer.
Besides that, I professionally play recorder and learn to play flute. I don't like bar hopping in the States, but I might go out eventually.

PHILOSOPHY

You can pursue various things in your life, make money, climb up the mountains, write books. In the end none of that matters. The only things that you can't lose is your knowlege, your skills and your soul.
On everyday basis I thing that maintained body helps you maintain healthy mind and soul, and vice versa. So, I try to enjoy outdoor sports, reading, travelling and socializing equally.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of irish celtic and new age music. Like some country, folk, classical, sometimes hard rock and metal. I just likepretty and thoughtful melodies.
Please, no rap or r'n'b in my house, lol. However I always respect other person's choice.

To read, I prefer either scientific non-fiction, or classic, or good fantasy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The best place I've ever been to was the hillside of Hampi in India. The whole landscape is made out of giant rocks, and the ancient temples are standing everywhere on top of them.
I also have a lot of memoriesof jumping into a hole in the rock (a natural well) in south point of Hawaii, not really knowing (but hoping) you can get out... i wanted to be the first...

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn and have a lot of skills, but if you know how to do something I do you most probably know it better. I'm usually not very deep in my studies. :)
However, learning and sharing your knowledge isthe best pastime, so you're welcome to ask.
I can teach you music and woodwind basics, drive manual, aim and shoot, making everyday healthey dishes taste great, core survival skills (if u like outdoors you probably, know them already). I can be your couch in outdoors running nd hiking camp))
We can talk abou history and archeology, and all the natural sciences.

Right now I'm lookig for someone to share some knowledge of hunting and advance fishing, may be sailing, if I'm lucky enough.
I desperately need some basic carpentry and home maintenance skills, because I live alone!!!!!!!!!
And, if I find out you are a badass swimmer/runner/cyclist I will start begging you to train me to do that stuff, hm, properly, lol

Oh, I know anout all kinds of local herbs and berries, but would like someone to instruct me with mushrooms!

Hmm, I also need to learn Nordic (backcountry) skiing...
