About Me

I save all my money to have adventures, and that's one of the main reasons why I've never owned a computer game console and I don't have a TV. The other reason is that life is too short. It's especially too short to be stressed.

I'm interested in wandering, meeting people, sharing what I have & learning about other cultures. I'm not at all driven by money, which is good because I don't have much.

I love getting lost in nature, in a song or in a conversation... I'm trying to practice yoga, be in the moment and appreciate the world.

I am a community worker involved in environmental justice campaigning. I believe in fighting oppression in all its forms and promoting human rights, social justice and equality. I believe in treating people like human beings- not just saying that but really living it too!

I try to be vegan as much as possible & definetly vegetarian! I'd love to share a nice vegan meal with you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Happy to meet other couchsurfers, and do some surfing myself...I love hosting when I can, it's great to help out fellow travellers and I really like sharing stories, experiences and maybe even a beer or two with fellow surfers- It feels a little like travelling without going anywhere :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met some really interesting, enthusiastic & inspiring people through CouchSurfing. Long may it continue!

Interests

Here are some things I enjoy...

Cycling: I travel everywhere on my bike! Cycling in the countryside in the evening is so peaceful.

Camping: I try to spend as much time as possible in a tent! (The sound of rain falling on your tent while you're snuggled up inside your sleeping bag is perhaps the greatest noise in the world. Rivalled only by the crackle of the campfire!)

Not worrying: Ah, sure it will all work out. And even if it won't work out then what's the point in worrying?

Travelling/hitching: I'm sure I don't need to convince any couchsurfers of this one! What I love about travelling is the unexpected wonderful people you meet, the breathtaking scenery you don't expect and learning about new cultures you knew nothing about.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music... There's so, so much! Right now I'm trying to expand my horizons into musical areas I have never gone. Can you suggest a new artist?

Today I listened to Keziah Jones, Zero 7, Clutchy Hopkins & Mono und Nikitaman.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once sat with a friend in the middle of a thunder and lightening storm on the roof of a medieval castle in the Hungarian countryside. I don't know what's more amazing- the experience or the fact that we didn't die!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can show you a little bit of the magic of Manorhamilton and Leitrim as I discover it myself!

I'd be happy to do some hillwalking, cycling, wandering, yoga or tea drinking with guests :)
