About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn more about this fantastic city that I live in.

ABOUT ME

My wife and I just got back from an 8-month around the world trip, and I'm working on getting settled back into San Francisco. After visiting so many different cities, I have to say, this city is pretty awesome.

I love food, and want to experience as much local food in different locations as possible. Right now, that means wandering the streets of the Mission in search of the best taquerias.

I love conversation, and trying to see the world through another's eyes.

PHILOSOPHY

"Now is the time to live your ideal life." - Cousineau

"The people who mind don't matter, and the people who matter don't mind." - Not sure

"I am discovering things that have never been discovered...Hey, who are all these guys?" - Eddie Izzard

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted a little bit, and surfed a ton. Some of the best experiences that we had while traveling were while we were couchsurfing. I also used to work for CS as the chef for the San Francisco and Istanbul collective.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had great experiences living in two CS collectives: San Francisco and Istanbul.

Interests

travel, obviously. food, sustainable food systems, friends, laughter, new experiences, politics, the environment, espresso and books.

Music, Movies, and Books

Cookbooks, I have loads of them. I can read them like a good novel. So many different ideas out there. I also like the popular stuff like Harry Potter, the Dragon Tattoo series and the Hunger Games.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visiting Cambodia was one of the most awesome places I have ever been. The people were amazing, the countryside was beautiful. I stopped taking pictures on the first day because I wasn't doing it justice. Petra was pretty fantastic as well. As was Capadokia in Turkey. But really, there have been amazing moments everywhere.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to cook. I can always learn more. I love languages, I'm always interested in learning and practicing them. I'm currently working on Spanish.
