About Me

CURRENT MISSION

The things I want to do, I must learn to do by just doing them

ABOUT ME

I'm a old kid just living life to the fullest. Sort of a Jack-of-all-trades, dabbling in a little of everything. I'm a firm believer in letting life go on at its own flow. It makes me a better traveler, student, listener, and just all around a better person (I think!). There are exceptions, though, like when there are obviously bad people with worse intentions trying to change the natural ways of a system, and thats where activism comes into play... I bought a schoolbus a couple years back, threw a futon in it, and lived in a friend's driveway for a summer. Now we just use the bus for road trips, adventure seeking, and a surfer's second home.I don't like to make plans, but instead live day-to-day. If your a surfer, write me, text me, call me, leave a message- if its a week before you're out here, please shoot me a note; and if you're a last minute type of person, like myself, call me when you roll into town and I'll show you around!I'm down for anything:coffee-driven political discussionsdancin at a concertjust chillin by the fire reading a book by candle lightCliff Jumping, Skiing, Snowboardinganything that amplifies the thrill of lifeSometimes I like to eat some hallucinogens and go to a kick ass concert or just walk around-Sometimes I like to take slow, long bike rides under the moonlight and end the night with a dance party.Sometimes I like to sit in hot springs in the winter and watch snowstorms roll in under the stars.Lost my job recently, which was the most liberating thing that has happened in my life. Started a bike taxi company and spent the winter farming on the equator...

PHILOSOPHY

Summed up in only a few words- I'd say...

Find meaning in the meaning of life through experience and self expression.

In it for the ride, not for the destination.

Don't cause an eddy in the natural flow of life...
Float through the emotional ocean of the world inside my little nut shell.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'll let you bum on my couch
share a pot-o-tea
sit and laugh and talk and think
if you'll do the same for me!

I'll show you around my town a bit: We could borrow a bike and use pedal power to see the town, (check out my "bike library" group, the RoFoBiLis) or get you some other form of human-powered motion, and go for a cruiz. Jam out to some music downtown - usually live bands on the weekends - or maybe just chill, drink coffee, people-watch, tell stories and chat...

Interests

A lot can be said about a person's perfect day. Mine would be waking up to the smell of breakfast cooking- scrambled eggs with lots of cheese, avocados, and some mate tea. A long stretch would follow- ahhhhhhh- and then maybe packing a snack before heading up to the mountains. Buddies would be waiting for me with a kayak, beer, and all of my gear - dry and smelling like roses (after all, this is a perfect day, right?) and we would boat the river, grill some food, share some stories and smoke some weed at the take-out before catching a concert. Oh yeah- I'd fall asleep with beautiful women massaging my body with tea tree oil.

In reality- I'd probably roll out of bead, nurse my hangover with 2 cups of coffee, and eventually bike downtown. Usually head over to the thrift store and see what's new, grab a paper, get some samples at the brewery, smile and live life- PURA VIDA, baby.

So basically, I love nature- kayak, ski, snowboard, hike a mountian or even just a small rock, climb a little

I love to drink, think, and have energetic conversations

Somewhat of a grease-monkey... try to fix up my broken motorcycle and I am now running my bus on waste vegetable oil

Do my little part to reduce my impact on the world

and Music- Music es Vida! You'll probably catch me jammin to classic rock- Led Zep or the Who- some funk, bluegrass, electronic bump bump, or even some country if you catch me in the right mood. Electronic and dance- I love the stuff that makes you want to move!
