CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

Happy to be able to say that 'all about me' doesn't fit in the little box. Surf my couch or host me and find out..

PHILOSOPHY

I think the way to figure out how to live your life is to break free from home, leave behind the safety and security and get yourself to the most uncomfortable place you can imagine. When you're there, see who lives there and drink a cup of tea with them. After you get back home, you'll figure out you still don't know anything, so find a new place to go to and maybe drink a beer instead of tea, just for a change.

In my eyes, that's the whole essence of traveling. And you keep doing that until you're satisfied. I think, if every single person on this world would have gone to the other side of the Earth and drank a cup of tea there, this would be a much greater place to live on. Still, it's not so bad :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I told an Indian journalist: the reason I would host people is because it's a way for me to travel without having to leave the country. Because in the end, it's all about the people you meet, not the places you see.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Probably my best experience with CouchSurfing was not through CouchSurfing itself, and even before I signed up for it!

After a tough 4-day hike in New Zealand, me and a mate got picked up by two people from the US, saw we were tired and hungry, took us home, fed us enough macaroni that could've filled 6 stomachs, bought us two pizzas and a crate of beer. And after watching two movies gave us each our own bedroom.

Still have this awesome experience in my mind whenever I host people!

Interests

I'm interested in pretty much everything. I love to learn, about cultures, history, science, politics, religion. Anything you have knowledge about, or an opinion on, share it please. :)
