About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find a beautiful place and plant more trees!

ABOUT ME

Living a nomad life and trying to enjoy every moment of it. I love to not be in a hurry and to take as much time for doing little things as possible. That's why I am very slow and cannot manage to do everything that I would like to do! But I try :)
Recently I have finished my degree in Philosophy and am now trying to figure out what I would love to do next. I have been learning and traveling a lot in the last years, have met unique people and found out a lot about myself. Although I love seeing new places, I am a bit tired and would like to stay in one place for a while and do those things that you can't do when you are on the run.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too short to complain, pay attention to the details, switch perspectives, use your energy for the good and enjoy!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing, hosting when I can and meeting inspiring people!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I jumped out of an air plane the first time I couchsurfed. Made few friends through hosting and surfing, slept in tree houses, yachts and dance rooms; made ice cream in the chemistry lab at night and enjoyed a dinner with strange kitchen tools. What else can I ask for?

Interests

Birds! They are amazing. They can fly. They are clever enough to escape cold winters. Beautiful colored and singing creatures... why am I not a bird?

Food! There is so much pleasure in good home made food. It is amazing how many different dishes there are in the world. Just be creative and express yourself by cooking and baking. And if it should be fast but amazing, take some good bread, wine, cheese and grapes and feel paradise!

Spring! I love it when days are getting longer and warmer, birds are coming back and people become more happy :-)

The blue shades of the sea when the sun is shining. What powerful colors - they can really be relaxing!

Capoeira! The movements, the rhythms, the smiles. I was fortunate enough to train with a group that had an amazingly positive energy. One door to freedom that I have found and will never forget.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is magic and for all your moods! I love classical piano and violin (Chopin, Tchaikovsky, ...), Spanish guitar (Paco de Lucía), samba (Paulinho Da Viola, ...), Buena Vista Social Club, African drums and good electronic vibes (Nicolas Jaar, Klangkarussell, ...). Fela Kuti, Nina Simone, Jimi Hendrix, ... Always curious about new rhythms!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My little sister playing on a guitar and inventing silly songs!

The joyful feeling of hearing birds starting to sing after a long winter (it is so powerful, I guess I even enjoyed the screaming of the sea gulls for a moment).

Making home made food although buying it would be so easy...

Seeing my flat in Sydney from the air plane.

Replanting my aloe plant and observing it becoming greener and stronger again!

Sharing fruit from my mom's beloved garden.

Landing in Santos Dumont, Rio de Janeiro.

Surviving couple of days with just a few Euros in a free camping trip, eating very well calculated portions and getting energy from the sun and the beautiful landscapes around, somewhere in Greece!

Teach, Learn, Share

Languages are fascinating. If you come, teach me some unusual phrase of your language!

I can teach you some words and phrases of the languages I speak, I can show you how to bake a cake, some basic Capoeira moves and I can tell you how children had to sit in class in Kazakhstan ;-)

Countries I’ve Visited
