ABOUT ME

Ryan and I met at a backpackers there in South Africa, and after a year of hard work we decide to start the travelling adventure we have being living since March 2015.We are a traveling couple with a wide variety of experience and skills.

Ryan grew up on a farm in South Africa, he studied Art and English education and completed his degree in 2013. Besides painting, he has a passion for nature, gardening and carpentry. From a young age he helped out in the garden on the farm where he grew up, since then he has helped set up a community garden in a local township in South Africa and volunteered at a backpackers where he applied permaculture principles to grow his own organic vegetables. Ryan learnt to work with wood at a bespoke picture framing company in Cape Town and is currently working online selling his art.

Clara loves to be surrounded by people from different backgrounds and lives to learn something new everyday. Clara grew up in Madrid, where she studied to be a journalist, and spent the last decade missioning around. Clara has been a waitress at a posh bar in London Soho, trained her patience as a babysitter, worked at an Arts NGO in San Francisco, tried the academic field writing a thesis about chicano art and spent the last 3 years in Cape Town, working as the Marketing Manager of an online travel agency.. She is passionate about travel, literature, photography and nature, looking forward to find an inspiring place to feel useful and enriched

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Mmm... diving with great white sharks in South Africa, travelling to NYC solo and super low budget on the middle of the winter (more dangerous than the first thing), visiting the idílic Seychelles Island for work (trust me, it's harder than you imagine).... I wake up everyday thinking "Today I will do something amazing" so it is just a matter of knowing how to appreciate the small things in life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Everybody has great stories to tell, and there is nothing that I enjoy more than listening to them! I also enjoy teaching spanish or English, share laughs and if possible, share some yummy spanish recipes :)
