About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Stay calm and carry on!

ABOUT ME

I'm starting a new life journey in America. After working for 2+ years I returned to graduate school to upgrade myself.

I'm an easy-going and open-minded person who never stops challenging myself and exploring new possibilities. That's the reason why I began CouchSurfing 5 years ago when this stuff was rarely known and accepted in my country.

I do love to travel. I enjoyed the fresh air in Tibet which I'll never forget. I'm curious and interested in different cultures, in their distinct lifestyles and thoughts. My biggest dream is to go around the world and thanks to some really awesome opportunity, I'm realizing it.

I would say that I'm more of an introvert so I prefer staying at home reading or cooking or watching a movie or just doing nothing than dancing and drinking heavily in a pub. But I also spend most of my spare time with my friends, and a full afternoon chatting in a nice cafe is definitely my cup of tea!

I love to try many new things and I have to confess that I have a short span of focus...So I started Japanese, flute, guitar, electronic piano, vegetarian, gardening, etc etc but not ended up in a professional...

PHILOSOPHY

Although I'm still confused about the real meaning of life, I think the best is to do something. I used to be waiting and fearing, but now I do know that I should step out, to fulfill the life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I happened to find the information on Lonely Planet, and I do appreciate the idea, to me it's more like a culture-exchange activity and that's it that interests me the most.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In 2009 I had my very first Couchsurfing experience which is so sweet and moving. I surfed in Bilbao, Santiago de Compostela and Brussels. They are really nice people and just made me feel like at home. From then on I trust this idea and I decide to do more things just like them for other surfers.

When I'm back to China, I met up with some surfers as I didn't own a house, and showing them around is the way that I can use to contribute to community.

Cien Anios de Soledad: so impressed by the story-telling!
Juliu River: a Chinese book/biography written by a respectable old lady about her times during the Second World War and in Taiwan

I usually listen to Japanese Pop although have little idea what it's singing about. I love Miho Komatsu, Every Little Thing, Aqua Timez, Greeeen, etc etc

Movies:A Beautiful Mind, 千と千尋の神隠し, Blue Gate Crossing

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm, maybe take the collective mini bus whose front and back doors are wide open in the outskirt area in Mexico city for 1 hour...
Another is the kneeing walking out side the basilica in Fatima, Portugal, I was really touched by the power of faith.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Chinese, and Spanish if you are interested, and I will also cook you some Chinese food :)
Actually I'm a curious person, so if you can bring some of your talents, such as cooking, playing guitar or just telling me your life experience, that'll be terrific!
