About Me

CURRENT MISSION

try to find something positive about the British weather...

ABOUT ME

I am German...says it all....

PHILOSOPHY

Pretty relaxed. Travelling and meeting people sits at the centre of my philosophy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting, socialising and frequent other couches.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had only some non-organised couchsurfing experience some time ago. ... and I experienced the welcoming nature of Scottish people. I met some people at the Fringe festival in 1995, who offered me a most amazing couch after a good gig and music. Unfortunately, I never met them again….perhaps I find them here.

Interests

I am interested in anything arty and fun. But must admit the new conceptional art movement does cause some disbelief. Do some photography; I still like the old roll film. Who knows how long we will be able to use until they are completely phased out. Of course I should not forget the outdoors, great to see some trees for a change, perhaps even see an animal that is not a grey squirrel. I did get into climbing a couple of years ago.

Music, Movies, and Books

Like French comedies, but the good dry humour is great too. Am a fan of Douglas Adams, The hitchhike guide to the galaxy should be an economic handbook.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled SE Asia and all around Australia, travelled 2 days in a train in India, rode a camel only to get stranded in a village with drunken guide and a couple of coconut tees.

Teach, Learn, Share

Want to learn how to teach an old dog new tricks...

Countries I’ve Visited

Bulgaria, Canada, India, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Germany, United Kingdom
