About Me

I am Kiera.

Wanna know me? Read my references! It's me in a nutshell. Or you could meet me!? Since the reference system changes the references are now not in date order so don't get confused :-P

I'm an adventurous soul who was searching for my place in this big wide world but then I realised that everywhere I went the people were what made me love the place and remember my experiences there.
I travel not for all the sights but for the people and their culture. But I do love to stare at natural wonders.

I started backpacking at 17 the moment highschool finished and for the last 6 years thats all I have been doing. I have learnt more travelling than in school and really feel lucky to have this chance to see the world!

I'm an addict to couchsurfing and i've been surfing, hosting and attending meetings since 2009.

I like learning about different religious and cultural traditions and your opinions on it.

I'm chatty and enjoy living life indulging in the little things.

I love hula hooping and live in the Indian Himalayas and teach hula hooping and yoga to locals and foreigners.

I practice vippasana meditation and also other forms including dancing meditation. Everything we do I life can be a meditation.

I studied Ayurveda and am an Ayurvedic therapist but I focus mostly on The nutrition aspect so I love to cook bak bed meals and will cook for you if you like!

My favorite animal is cows. I have a pet cow called moo. He travels the world with me and if you're lucky you may just get to meet him - Update: Moo lives in England now :(

I'm interested in natural remedies for illnesses and just general info about different foods that can benefit human health.

I grew up in a little coastal town in Australia and love the culture and history I find in big cities and un popular countries not yet taken a hold of by the hand of commercial tourism.

I've taught English in many countries, face painted for food money, managed bars and restaurants, organised pub crawls, organised tapa tours, organised Madrid city tours, poured alot of beer to drunk people, took care of rich peoples children and many other things to make some money so that I could travel. But I still have no clue what I want to work as in my life but as long as I'm happy that's all that matters to me.

PHILOSOPHY

'Que Sera Sera' - is my life long message to myself

I think the world is more scared of us then we are of it. Treat the universe right and it will treat you right :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travel doesn't feel right without couchsurfing.
Couchsurfing is what makes the places i visit so memorable.
I have had a few world trips where my travels revolved around meeting amazing couchsurfers then changing my plans to meet up with them again somewhere else. Thats life! Allowing strangers to become friends and learning from them.
I am here to meet you so hopefully I can host you or you can host me or we can grab a coffee and chat about life :-)
I would like to make a couchsurfing kingdom when and if I settle in a town and get a house. When this happens all are welcome.
