About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Breaking records in a few aspects of my life

ABOUT ME

I'm Shy, living in Tel Aviv. I really love the city in general and my neighborhood specifically, Kerem HaTeymanim, which is the best location to live in. I'm an astronomer. I like to cook all kinds of food from all different countries and cultures, and even more so to eat it :D Another thing I do is to participate in pro-peace and human rights activism.
I enjoy meeting foreign people in all contexts, so I found CS a nice website to join.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to be a part of it by hosting and surfing for now. I also attend meetings from time to time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Took Ignacio and Sarah around in Tel Aviv - some of the best couchsurfing guests I've had! I had a great time with both of them.
Hosted Nicky from Edinburgh - great girl on her way to volunteer in the West Bank, who later became a real friend.
Hosted once a girl from Germany, and dined with a couple of Polish girls and Greek doctors. Have been to numerous CS gatherings at Julie's (Julie Sharon) and a few larger meetings in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem.
I also hosted Imke from Germany, completely spontaneusly - we found out that we are both couchsurfers after standing next to each other at a protest and later on meeting in Tel Aviv.
I couchsurfed at Caspar's in Berlin and at Freddie's in Paris. It was a very good experience. I also attended CS meetings in both cities, which was great.
Have been hosted in Dublin and Limerick, Ireland and found Irish people to be very welcoming and nice.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am open minded and I like many different kinds of music, so you can send me your music or bring it if we meet.
I enjoy movies and books of all genres, but especially Fantasy, Science Fiction, Apocalypse / Post Apocalypse or Comedy. I also like quality documentaries about my interests.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmmm... many things. Saw a meteors storm, dived with dolphins, drank Boroviczka with strangers on a train in Slovakia, ate a fried Mexican grasshopper, felt an earthquake, sat on the edge of the cliff in Machtesh Ramon (really on the edge, not in the visitors viewpoint!), protested, fell in love.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a lot about astronomy.
I can also teach you how to make many different types of good food, as I am an amateur cook. This means that I'd also like to learn how to make foods of other cuisines, if you can teach me that.
I can teach you all about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and if I have time even take you around and show you some interesting things from special POVs.
I would like to learn other languages, even on a basic level.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Jordan, Netherlands, Palestine, Poland, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States
