ABOUT ME

I would describe myself as a very serious person that changes into a totally crazy party animal whenever possible. :-)

I'm an absolute night owl, very open minded, interested in everything and everyone, listening carefully and loving good discussions the same way as going out dancing.

I'm trying to spend every minute of my rare free time with interesting people. And nearly every weekend friends visit me...we sit together, discuss whatever comes to our mind, drink, listen to music, joke and go out until the sun is up again. :-)

...and maybe important: During weekdays my mind is really set on work. So I am mostly checking on Thursday or even Friday if someone wants to surf my couch this weekend. So don't expect a reply 3 weeks in advance. I don't know what is going to happen in 3 weeks ...and I like it like that. ;-) ...sorry to those who are perfectly planning their trip.

PHILOSOPHY

...or as George Best said: "I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered."
...or in my words: Either discuss something really interesting or stop talking and start partying - of if you can, do both at the same time!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a big apartment I live in alone (a few hundred meters from the royal palace in Vienna) - so I thought to host some travellers to get to know a few CS-people and then in a second step maybe also try to roam the world a little on my own.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

...played with the possibility for some time, met someone who only told the best... this is why I joined here!
(Actually I opened my account, attended 2 meetings and then didn't have time to do anything on CS from 2010 to 2012 - but I'm back.)
And now it seems to me that CS people are different... no matter where on the world you are: If you want to find tolerant, open minded, intersted and intersting people, go for CS!

Interesses

Going out, meeting friends and new interesting people, long discussions about everything and nothing, finding new aspects of and views on things and people, photography (b&w and only people), writing, dancing (learned some latin dances and absolutely love it, danced tango argentino for some years, even enjoy classical dancing on balls), jazz concerts, exploring any place without having a target.

I love giving parties, inviting as many people as possible (already had over 50 in my flat!), drinking, talking, laughing and dancing until everybody is asleep

Language and how to express differentiated thougths or difficult feelings with it is one of my passions. Thus some of the more intellectual things I like to do are writing, attending poetry slams, helping my friends finetuning their screenplays, etc.

I found true friends - and even more important: I am a true friend to some people

Maybe worth mentioning: I wrote a book - which is one of the things I wanted to do since being 14 or so... 250 pages of poems and short poetic texts ...got a publisher, will be out for sale somewhen soon (...in fact you can already find it on Amazon :-P "Chaosdisziplin - Bekenntnisse eines Zynikers") ...planning some public readings whenever I finally approved the version to my publisher.
