About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To gain optimism about humanity through honest pure human connections worldwide

ABOUT ME

I'm in rapid whirling flux at the moment-- a bit of who I was and a lot of who I may be and somewhere in there stories, and questions and questions and unbridled wanderlust and easy humor and thoughts that become passions after a few drinks. And feline curiosity and love of newnesses and unknowns and potential in the foreign skies. And a seeker of certain comforts--food, friends, uninhibited conversation, wine, music, parks, night walks, swimming holes, and long bike rides. Teach me something new and I'll keep it with me always.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't worry, be happy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been on some blind friend dates that turned a new city into a playground and strangers into life changing friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed through Europe, used city groups and events to meet people.

Hosted about 30 travelers in Thailand and showed them the city.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It was my last night in the small farming village in Transylvania and I had an aching feeling in my chest, a sadness that wasn't my own. I walked out of the little bar to find my three good friends staring at the sky, each with their own sadness or regret--Brian didnt kiss the girl, miranda will never see him again and for all of us it's back to ordinary life where everything comes so easily and nothing feels as real as right here with these giving worn wonderful families. we started to walk away from the last street light in town, arm in arm, and found ourselves beneath the milky way as star after star fell from the sky.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a decent cook.
I've been a nanny and an au pair for years and love hanging out with kids- got kids? I can babysit.
RAUNCHY shadow puppets. And Dance Dance Revolution, but let's not get into that.
I'm decent at improvising music and could probably help others learn too
I'm also not bad at teaching English to foreigners--body language!

I'd love to learn how to cook local cuisine, how to dance to local music, and how to play new instruments or styles. Teach me about your world, please!
