ABOUT ME

Well... You can call me Salim.

Welcome to the latest version of my Profile.

Basically, I'm just a fucked up boy who's looking for my own piece of mind; don't assign me yours please.

But I am also the son of the environement (the many environementS i should say) i grow up in.

I am a mixture of the many "YOU"s i intreacted with in my life. I am a little part of my parents, little of my brothers, my sister, my close friends, my classmates, the heros of the series i'm used to watch "I love brooke Davis in one tree hill", the different algerian towns i lived in (Kabylie, Tamenrasset, Tlemcen)... And i'm looking for a new interaction with "YOU" because this is how i grow up.

Sometimes I'm not "me", but i pretend to be the "me" you see, just to not be harch or hurt you. People call it: "i'm polit"

Sometimes i am direct. This is the "me" i don't like a lot because it may cause me (and it already cased me) troubles.

Often I fake a little me or two to reach something i want. I faked a smart me to impress my teachers, i fake a seductor "me" to get the girl i wanted, i faked i know my job to get it... and so on. And Sometimes i don't know where is the line between the fake and the true me. Somehow the result of all the 'ME's inside me is the true me.

I can not define myself objectively, all i write is what i think i am, and what i want you think i am.
The truth is between how you see me and how i think i am. So You are somehow half my miror.

Please let me see myself throu your soul.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Member of Hospitality club since 5 years now. Between 2007 and 2009 i was travelling north africa and europ, but now that i moved in Algeria, i would like to promote the wonderfull phenomena of CouchSurfing in ALGERIA. I believe it can change a lot of things.

This is the moment for me to rest and focus on something else CSing. Since i am addicted, i wown't and can't leave it, but i will not be able to host, surf or meet you right now, untill -to be continued-

But that does not mean i am off-line. I would love to answer your questions about travelling in my country when i can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience was in Tunisia. A very warm place (both people and weather are warm).

Then CSing become a part of me... in Turkey, Italy, France, Spain and Morroco.

Right now i am working in a project in Tlemcen, the extreme north-ouest part of Algeria and the lack of time and money don't allow me to couch/surf, but i'm defenetly addicted, and i'm still travelling throu all of you my guys.

Interests

I'm interrested in everything, and of corse i am interrested in travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books> The best book ever is the Coran. Or (Al Qura'an). It is extraordinary to see how people can read it non-stop for a life-time and still don't get bored from it. It's incredibly wonderfull how people still discover hiden things in it since 14 centuries now. It is amazing to find one same book that talk about various subjects as Coran does. It is impossible that someone "illitrate" can write such a book! The question remains: Who wrote it?

Music> I like the music of silence, the soundtrack of the forest and mother nature. I like the swalow songs in spring. The waves in an empty beach. "The most perfect silence is when there is no need to talk or to explain". In clear i like the silence. But when i am in a loudy or noisy mood (it happens), i like some Algerian music; some pop and rock but i don't like hard rock.

Movies> I watched and liked a lot of movies. i think if i write a list, it will be a long one. And i think i will write this list. It will be a good excercice for my memory. So, wait and check later if you want to read about the movies i like. Oh and my favorite movie is the one i'm living in.

Series> X-files was the first serie i was addicted to, then Beverlly hills when i was a teenager and Buffy, the vampire slayer. "Friends" was the longest serie i watched. I liked also Ally Mc Bill, Sex and the city.. I started Desperate housewives but i gave up quickly. Generally i like One tree hill, Gossip Girl, South park, Daria, The big bang theory, How i meet your mother, Two and a half man... I certainly forgot a lot since i watched too much series, and somehow i think they intoxicated me

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Tamanrasset for 4 years! Saw the sunset and sunrise in the ASKREM.
Hitchhiked in Italy :D
Saw dolphins
