About Me

A Swiss guy, living and working in Tokyo since 4 years. Still in love with this fascinating city, and I've explored it more than most locals. This city is hard to crack because everything's small, intimate and hidden, but the rewards are so big. If you're looking for recommendations of awesome places out of the beaten path, I'm the right person to ask!

I'm UX designer / web developer, sometimes VJ in the week-end. I'm into visual arts, electronic music (drum and bass, techno), delicious food, architecture, history and some more weird crap. I love discovering new things and exploring places out of the beaten path. Also a big a big foodie, and a surprisingly decent drinking buddy.

I don't have much time to hang out during the week, but my week-ends are usually packed with excitement and party hopping until sunrise. If you'd like to discover the Tokyo underground nightlife, I'm your man.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I somehow ended up living alone in a rather large and cozy house, and there are two rooms I don't use. I'll happily let people stay there.

My house is in a lovely residential area near Shibuya. More precisely, between Shimokitazawa and Sangenjaya, which are two of the coolest neighborhoods in Tokyo (both about 15m by foot). They're full of nice little cafes, bars, and restaurants.

I don't like blocking dates months in advance, the sweet spot to send me requests is 1 - 2 weeks in advance. Last minute begging might occasionally work too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing Mount Fuji. At night. Under a typhoon. It was awful.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Can you please drink the beers in my fridge, because I don't like beer and they're taking space I could use for carrots instead.
