About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live our lives through happiness, travel, art, and knowledge, while meeting positive and loving people along the way!

ABOUT ME

We are good spirited and friendly world nomads who love meeting new people, being outdoors, eating good food, and living life. We love slow travel, slow food, and having a good time, and we do our best to live our lives as creatively and filled with art and laughter as much as we can. We are traveling around the world for the next few years and would love to meet you if it happens!

We are both entrepreneurs who after 20 years of running a design jewelry company and working in film, decided one day that we wanted to pack it up and get on the road. Indefinitely.

Jaime: I work as a film director, freelance editor, cinematographer, and visual artist. I love world travel and being around loving and positive people and laughing until it hurts.

Adam: I am a non practicing doctor of veterinary medicine, now working as a movie producer.

Our goal now is to help non profits and NGO's around the world by producing videos for these organizations to help improve lives and further fund their causes, all while creating beautiful images and footage around the world for licensing.

2020: Portugal walking the Camino de Santiago from Lisbon.

2017: Nomad travel. Housesitting in Mexico, Thailand, Bali, and Malaysia.

2016: Nomad travel. Bali, Thailand, back to Mexico for 9 months.

2015: Nomad travel indefinitely. House sitting in Vietnam and then off to Bali for six months.

2014: We will be traveling from January to May in MEXICO doing video work.

2012
We spent Jan 1st - March 16th 2012 in Ecuador producing a documentary film in Ibarra for the Prosthetics For Life Foundation. A small group of us flew down with recycled prosthetics from the United States to Ecuadorians in need and our documentary covered part of this process and how so many peoples lives are being changed by these limbs. You can see the finished video here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Been involved in hospitality exchange since 1999, using SERVAS and then became a CS member in 2006 and have used both to travel the world and host for many years!

As ambassadors, we also organized CS monthly meetings in our community for many years.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had some of the best travel experiences ever with CS, Hospitality club, and SERVAS. People have opened thier homes to us with warmth, hospitality, and with no hesitation. I cannot recommend enough this type of traveling for anyone who enjoys seeing the world through local eyes and through cultural exchange. Thank you CS!

Interests

Learning, creating, cinema, filmmaking, movies, art, painting, travel, animals, gastronomy, DIY, conversation, making things, fun, being outside, the mountains, the beach, traveling without a plan (slow travel), education, writing, laughing, slow food, good wine, good beer, cooking, creative science, politics, nutrition, world music, percussion, international people, cultural exchange, yerba mate, and peace.

We love a good time. We can hang out and spend all day reading or talking while drinking Mate, or we can get a tremendous amount done. I love to explore a new place by walking or motor biking and getting lost. We love slow travel and want to spend at least 3-6 months in every place we fall in love with.

5. Drove my 1989 Nisson truck multiple times to Central America.
6. Started traveling and living around the world indefinitely.

Teach, Learn, Share

We would like to show people from other countries that not all Americans are the same and that many of us do not necessarily agree with our governments actions. Also, we both would like to bring light to the world with a better understanding of it's food, where it comes from and how, what it does to our environment, what it may do to our bodies, and how to improve on it. I am working on these things and other world subjects through filmmaking.

Countries I’ve Visited
