About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy the moment.

ABOUT ME
February 2020, travelling NZ with my husband and our toddler :)

AUgust 2016, I have moved to a house on an island but have less time to host since I now travel a lot through work but send em a requst and try your luck!

April 2015, I am now more active on Airbnb since my ex moved out and left me with a high rent to pay. However, if you write me a very nice and thoughtful request I might show you how wonderful Gothenburg could be during summer.

July 2014, we have had a few nice couchsurfingexcoeriences during spring and summer. We check in every now and then and are therefore slow on our reply so send us a request in good time before your planned arrival. Sometimes we approve and sometimes we simply don't feel like it...

January 2014, we have moved to a new place and are in the process of getting our new address approved here. I am heading for a 3 weeks vacation so we'll be welcoming people when I am back and we're settled, probably feb-march.
April 2013, yeah, spring is engulfing us here in Alingsås and the daylight stats with us longer and longer for each day. With other word: a perfect time to visit us!

June 2012, I have completed a Spanish-course this spring and are in desperate need of practice! So any spanish-speaking traveler who like to help me out are welcome to surf at my place or come to Alingsås over day for a tour!

November 2011: I have now found a place to invite friends, family and couchsurfers! But please send me a proper request through the "request buttom" and do plan ahead and show that you believe in idea of exchange! Looking forward to hear from you.

March 2011: I have travelled around most of Australia and seen bits of New Zealand with my boyfriend during the past 6 months. I am now in the end of this fantastic trips with heaps of great and unexpected couchsurfing experiences, thanks to all you that made it possible! I am now looking forward to head back and find a place where I can host people and return the favour.

I see myself as a restless person with tones of ideas, believes and things to do. I always try to have a positive attitude in everything I do and I also meet people with the believe that everybody have something interesting to share, it's just a matter of finding out what.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Curiosity drives us forward and makes us learn and experience new people and stuff all the time!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Got the chance, through couchsurfing, to look after two poodles and a house in Kiama, Australia, over Christmas Day when Jill and Ken celebrated Christmas in Sydney. Really grateful for that!

Sailed the Whitsunday's in Australia on John's vessel and had tones of fun with friends. Further more, John glide into Whitehaven beach right in time for an spectacular blood-red sunset show.

Interests

I love dogs and have been involved with them during many years now but decide that travels and dogs unfortunately don't go hand-in hand. Instead, I have picked-up another big interest: photography. My father is a professional nature photographer but I have always wanted to take care of myself and make my own way so I have failed to listen to his word of advice.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

2009 was my big adventure year, my life before that is not worth mention. I spent my first Uni-exchange semester in Alaska, USA. What a beautiful place! If you have any interest in wilderness, mountaineering and meeting cool people, go there! I did tones of stuff up there that I have never dreamed of doing, like camp in tents on a glacier or ice-climbing.

My second exchange semester was spent in Penang, Malaysia which also is a wonderful place on this globe but in totally other ways then Alaska. In Penang people from my every-day life astonished me. The people in Penang are open, warm and most interesting; most have strong values and beliefs but co-operate perfectly over the borders of ethnic, religion and so forth... This is something I especially took with me from Penang and believes that other people and countries could learn from this island.
